Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and nine years of related experience.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including identifying trends, variances, root causes, risks, and opportunities in complex information.
  • Ability to independently clarify ambiguous requests or problems, identify necessary information and stakeholders, establish an approach, and produce a completed work product or recommendation.
  • Ability to communicate complex operational, financial, and analytical information clearly and appropriately to executives, physicians, administrators, and staff.
  • Sound judgment in prioritization, stakeholder management, and escalation, including knowing when to resolve an issue independently and when leadership intervention is required.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects, requests, and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while communicating progress, risks, decisions, and resource needs to leadership.
  • Interpersonal and relationship-management skills to facilitate productive discussions, address competing priorities, obtain stakeholder participation, and navigate complex organizational environments professionally.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive financial, operational, clinical, and patient information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project management and analytical resource to the Senior Project Manager and Executive Leadership.
  • Independently drive assigned initiatives from identification through implementation and evaluation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities and collaborate with physicians, TUMG leadership and staff, department administrators, clinic managers and staff, university departments, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Independently gather and validate information from multiple sources, analyze complex data, identify trends and variances, evaluate operational and financial impact, and translate findings into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Take ownership of assigned initiatives rather than functioning solely as a task coordinator; investigate identified problems or risks and work toward solutions rather than simply reporting them.

Desired Qualifications

  • A master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.
  • Experience with physician practice operations and/or physician-based revenue cycle management.
