Sekisui House Reit raises $34.3M in green-linked loans to refinance debt

Sekisui House Reit has arranged ¥5.15 billion in green-linked bank borrowings from MUFG Bank and Mizuho Bank. The loans, a mix of short- and long-term facilities with floating rates linked to JBA 1-month yen TIBOR, will mature between 2027 and 2033. The proceeds will refinance existing debt, including redeeming a ¥2 billion unsecured investment corporation bond due in September 2026 and refinancing ¥3.15 billion in borrowings maturing in August 2026. Total interest-bearing liabilities remain unchanged at ¥284 billion, indicating a restructuring of the company's debt rather than balance-sheet expansion. Pricing is set at Adjusted Term SOFR plus 0.80% per annum, with a 364-day maturity from the effective date. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
