Hilton says the AI data-center boom is lifting its business, as contractors fill its hotel rooms. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) in its business-transient segment rose 8.3% globally in the third quarter, led by US manufacturing and technology demand. Chief executive officer Chris Nassetta expects full-year RevPAR growth of 4% to 4.5%, as business travel momentum carries into the fourth quarter. Analysts had expected about 3.5%. System-wide comparable RevPAR rose 5.8%, against expectations of 4.3%. Adjusted earnings were $2.45 per share, ahead of the $2.36 forecast. Revenue of $3.33 billion rose nearly 7% but fell just short of estimates. Shares dipped more than 2%, though they are up nearly 20% this year.
Hilton Worldwide shares trade at 50.1 times earnings for the twelve months to June 2026, against 22.9 for the S&P 500. Buyers appear to be betting on the hotel group's growing room count. Net unit growth was 6.1% in the second quarter, and management expects 6% to 7% for the foreseeable future. The pipeline reached a record 541,000 rooms. Revenue over the twelve months totalled $12.5 billion, up 8.7%. Trefis estimates that at a market value of $79.4 billion, Hilton would need revenue of $26.0 billion within five years to justify the price. That means 15.8% annual growth, well above its 8.6% three-period average. Hilton guides fiscal 2026 net income at $1.88 billion to $1.91 billion. It reports third-quarter results on October 27, 2026.
Hilton (NYSE:HLT) will report third-quarter results on Tuesday before market hours. Analysts expect revenue to grow 8.4% year on year, compared with 8.8% in the same quarter last year. Last quarter, the hotel company met revenue expectations with $3.34 billion, up 6.5% year on year, and beat EBITDA estimates. It has missed Wall Street's revenue estimates multiple times over the last two years. Analysts have largely held their estimates over the past 30 days. Hilton shares are up 9.2% over the last month, at $349.76, against an average price target of $355.41. Among peers, Wyndham grew revenue 7.3%, meeting expectations, and its shares fell 4.2%. Carnival's revenue rose 3.5%, beating estimates by 1.1%, and its shares gained 10.8%.

Hilton heads to Nasdaq: new AI booking tools put Honors Points into Google Search. Its tech pivot, a new CTO from Uber, and a Google AI Mode deal change how loyalty members book. Published: Oct 22 2026, 12:28 PM EDT Hilton Worldwide Holdings announced on October 20 that it is transferring its stock listing to Nasdaq, with shares expected to begin trading there on November 5 under the unchanged ticker HLT. The transfer is framed by CEO Chris Nassetta not as a routine financial housekeeping event but as a declaration of identity: Nasdaq is "closely aligned with our growth ambitions," he said, and he described the exchange as home to "many of the world's most innovative companies." Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman responded by saying the exchange is "proud to welcome Hilton." The move follows eight weeks of product announcements that together constitute an extensive technology buildout: an AI Planner launched on Hilton.com, a partnership to appear inside Google's new AI Mode hotel booking, a ChatGPT plugin, and a connector for Claude in development. These tools allow travelers, and specifically Hilton Honors members, to search for hotels, compare properties, apply loyalty points, and begin a reservation entirely inside a conversational AI interface, in some cases without visiting an OTA at all. The Nasdaq listing is Hilton's signal that this technology-first direction is now its defining strategy. Hilton announced the full suite as part of its goal to "connect the journey from search to stay." Hilton listed on NYSE first in 1946. Now it's joining the tech giants. Hilton holds a notable position in the history of American equity markets: it was the first hotel company ever listed on the NYSE, in 1946, a distinction that made the NYSE its institutional home for the better part of eight decades. After a 2007 buyout by private equity firm Blackstone Group took it private, Hilton returned to public markets in December 2013, again on the NYSE. The November 5 transfer carries no immediate operational consequences. Shareholders need take no action, and Hilton says the listing change does not affect its business strategy, capital allocation priorities, or services to guests, owners, and team members. The symbolic weight of the transfer is the point: Nasdaq is where Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla trade. A hotel company that has spent the past year hiring a CTO from Uber and partnering with Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic to embed itself in AI search is signaling what kind of company it intends to be. How travelers can now book Hilton through Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Claude. On August 28, Hilton announced a set of AI integrations designed to "connect the journey from search to stay." The first is the Hilton AI Planner, a generative AI concierge built into Hilton.com's desktop experience and rolling out in the Hilton Honors mobile app. Travelers describe their trip in conversational language (dates, destination, the kind of stay they want) and the planner returns property recommendations and comparison tools. The integrations that matter most to travelers, however, are the ones embedded in AI platforms they already use. Hilton has joined Google's AI Mode hotel booking feature, which launched September 1 for English-speaking U.S. users, and lets travelers discover properties, compare them side by side, and initiate a reservation using natural-language prompts inside Google Search. The crucial detail for Hilton Honors members: Honors Points work inside Google AI Mode searches. A traveler can describe a Chicago stay and filter by points availability before being directed to Hilton.com to complete the booking. That points-integration step is not available when searching through Expedia, Booking.com, or most other OTAs. Google AI Mode launched with ten initial booking partners, including not only Hilton but also Marriott, Wyndham, IHG, and Choice Hotels on the brand side, and Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Priceline, and Trip.com on the OTA side. Bookings are completed with the individual hotel brand or OTA, which remains the merchant of record; Google is the discovery layer, not the transaction engine. Beyond Google, Hilton's ChatGPT plugin brings property information, images, and recommendations into ChatGPT conversations. Users who add the plugin can ask Hilton-specific questions and get recommendations before being directed to Hilton.com to book. A Claude Connector, which will bring property images, details, and pricing into Claude, is described by Hilton as in development, with no launch date announced. Michael Leidinger, Hilton's Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, said the company is "dedicated to innovating to meet the changing needs of our guests, our industry and the world around us." Why hotels fear AI could send guests to Booking.com instead of their own sites. The AI integrations are not purely an upgrade in guest experience. In regulatory filings released in February 2026, both Hilton and Marriott identified large language models as a material business risk. Hilton's 10-K disclosed that AI platforms "could divert bookings away from our direct channels," its first formal acknowledgment that the same AI tools it is now partnering with could, if Hilton failed to maintain its position inside them, route travelers toward third-party OTAs instead. The concern is structural. When a traveler books through an OTA, the hotel pays a distribution cost, a commission or intermediary fee, on that transaction. When the booking comes through Hilton.com or the Hilton Honors app, those costs are substantially lower. Both Hilton and Marriott warned in their filings that increased AI-driven OTA routing could raise distribution costs and erode the direct relationships they have cultivated through loyalty programs. According to Skift's coverage of those filings, AI platforms were not yet charging hotels commissions as of February, meaning the economics could shift further as AI booking matures. Nassetta told investors he expressed confidence that Hilton's market scale will let it negotiate favorable terms with AI platforms as the landscape evolves. The company's rapid move to embed itself across Google, ChatGPT, and Claude, before any of those platforms begins charging, is the practical expression of that confidence. Hilton is attempting to ensure that when a traveler uses AI to search for a hotel, Hilton's properties, inventory, and loyalty options are natively present and bookable without an OTA intermediary. Hilton's new technology Chief arrives from Uber with an Amazon engineering background. On October 6, Hilton announced Jeff Moore as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, effective October 26, reporting directly to Nassetta. Moore arrives from Uber, where he served as Vice President of Software Engineering, leading approximately 2,500 engineers on products including Uber Eats and Uber for Business. Before Uber, he held engineering leadership roles at Amazon, overseeing the teams that built the software behind Alexa, Kindle, and Fire TV. Nassetta said Moore "will help us move faster, harness AI and next-generation technology." Moore said his aim is to "reimagine the guest experience and empower team members." In the context of Hilton's AI Planner, Google AI Mode deal, and Nasdaq listing, the hire reads as an acceleration: bringing in an engineer who scaled consumer-facing AI products at Uber and Amazon to run an expanded Hilton technology organization that now sits, by design, on the same exchange as those companies. U.S. Hotel performance stayed strong going into Hilton's announcements. Hilton's strategic repositioning arrives against a backdrop of broadly positive U.S. hotel performance. In the week ending October 3, 2026, the most recent period with full published industry data, U.S. hotels reported revenue per available room of $115.84, a 12.9 percent increase year over year, according to CoStar data published by Lodging Magazine. Average daily rates reached $172.38, up 7 percent from the same week in 2025, while occupancy held at 67.2 percent, a 5.5 percent year-over-year gain, figures that point to sustained post-pandemic demand. Regional performance varied sharply. Miami recorded a 43.3 percent RevPAR jump to $123.25, while Las Vegas saw RevPAR fall 17.6 percent to $157.78, a comparison effect against the PACK EXPO trade show dates in 2025 that inflated last year's base. For Hilton Honors members deciding how to book, the performance figures underscore a relevant reality: strong occupancy and rising rates mean hotels have little pressure to discount through any channel. The practical case for booking directly through Hilton's AI tools over an OTA rests less on finding a lower room rate than on accessing loyalty points in the search phase, a benefit Google AI Mode now offers to Hilton Honors members that standard OTA booking flows do not.
