What believers are saying

  • SEEL launched 2026 webinars and workshops, signaling active customer acquisition and monetization.
  • DBusiness highlighted SEEL's 2024 grant-writing workshop, extending lead-generation into nonprofits and agencies.
  • Its clean-energy positioning with DTE MIGreenPower strengthens credibility with utilities and ESG buyers.

What critics are saying

  • SEEL depends on utility contracts; losing DTE or other anchors would crush revenue.
  • Crowded energy-efficiency implementation firms like Donovan Energy and AtSite squeeze pricing and talent.
  • If grant-writing workshops stall, SEEL risks becoming a commodity contractor with weak differentiation.

What makes Seel unique

  • Detroit-based MBE and DVBE status gives SEEL preferred-vendor access.
  • SEEL spans eight states, combining utility program management, audits, and direct installs.
  • Its Learning Institute adds workforce training and grant-writing services beyond core implementation.
