About the company

Arevon Energy focuses on developing, managing, and optimizing renewable energy assets like solar, wind, and energy storage for utilities, corporations, and independent project owners. Its main work is long-term asset-management contracts that handle the development, operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of large clean-energy assets. The company’s offerings are demonstrated by big projects and partnerships, such as a Tesla Megapack storage agreement and storage/solar deployments that enable grid stability and city-scale power supply. Unlike many players that only build projects, Arevon emphasizes ongoing asset management and optimization over the life of a project, leveraging technology and partnerships to maximize uptime, efficiency, and financial performance. The goal is to help clients meet sustainability goals, regulatory requirements, and reliable energy supply by delivering scalable, managed renewable energy assets.

What believers are saying

  • Nighthawk reached operation on August 12, 2026, proving execution at 300 MW/1,200 MWh.
  • Cormorant advanced on September 16, 2026, toward 2027 operation and MCE revenues.
  • Arevon closed $920 million for Nighthawk and completed $5.1 billion financings recently.

What critics are saying

  • California policy and utility procurement dominate revenue; one state shift hits the platform.
  • Battery fire at Nighthawk or Cormorant would freeze financing, permitting, and offtake trust.
  • Tax-credit transfer structures and project finance leave Arevon exposed to policy changes by 2027.

What makes Arevon unique

  • Arevon owns and operates utility-scale solar plus storage, not just develops and flips.
  • Nighthawk and Cormorant use LFP batteries, reassuring utilities and financing partners.
  • California execution stands out: Arevon ranks No. 1 in Solar Power World's 2026 California list.

Arevon secures three 20-year Renewable Energy Credit contracts for its 200 megawatt Panther Energy Project in Illinois.

Arevon secures three 20-year Renewable Energy Credit contracts for its 200 megawatt Panther Energy Project in Illinois. Agreements with Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican advance the Perry County solar project and the state's energy goals. PERRY COUNTY, Ill. and SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 13, 2026) - Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading American energy developer, owner, and operator, today announced it has executed three 20-year Indexed Renewable Energy Credit (REC) contracts with Ameren Illinois Company (Ameren Illinois), Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), and MidAmerican Energy Company (MidAmerican) for its 200 megawatt (MWac)/275 megawatt (MWdc) Panther Energy Project in Perry County, Illinois. The Panther Energy Project is anticipated to begin construction in 2027 and reach completion in 2028, creating an estimated 200 construction jobs. The project is expected to contribute an estimated $20 million in property tax payments over its operating life, benefiting area schools, infrastructure, and other public services while driving additional economic activity. Arevon has established a local office in Pinckneyville, providing landowners, residents, and other community members with direct access to the Panther project team during development and upcoming construction. Once operational, the project is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 37,000 Illinois homes. The long-term commercial agreements follow Panther Energy's selection in the Illinois Power Agency's (IPA) Summer 2026 Indexed REC procurement, which was approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). Under the IPA's procurement methodology, Panther Energy was selected to deliver 421,131 RECs in the first year, which will be allocated among Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican through separate long-term contracts with each utility. The Indexed REC structure provides long-term revenue certainty that supports the development and financing of new renewable energy projects. The RECs acquired by the utilities will help meet their obligations under the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard. The Summer 2026 procurement was conducted pursuant to Illinois's Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), which became law in 2021 and established the Indexed REC pricing structure for utility-scale renewable energy procurements. In total, the ICC approved contracts for 1.55 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacity, including four utility-scale solar projects totaling 740 MWac, through the Summer 2026 procurement. "Arevon is proud to work with Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican through the IPA procurement to move Panther Energy closer to construction and contribute to Illinois's energy goals," said Tommy Greer, Chief Commercial Officer at Arevon. "We appreciate the collaboration of Perry County residents, landowners, and local officials throughout the project's development. We look forward to delivering reliable, homegrown energy to the grid while creating jobs, generating long-term economic benefits, and investing in the local community." Arevon is actively growing its portfolio in the Midwest region of the United States through the operations, construction, and continued development of energy facilities. Recent milestones in the Midwest include the start of operations at its 430 MWdc Kelso Solar Project in Missouri and Ratts 1 and Heirloom Solar Projects in Indiana, which have a cumulative capacity of 264 MWdc. Ratts 1 and Heirloom were awarded the 2025 Proximo North America Solar Deal of the Year. The company has also nearly completed construction on its 124 MWdc Big Muddy Solar Project in Jackson County, Illinois. In addition, Arevon developed and managed construction of the 251 MWdc Gibson Solar Project and the 228 MWdc Posey Solar Project in Indiana on behalf of local utilities.

Sep 28, 2026, 14:30 ET The 344 megawatt solar facility marks a decade of delivering reliable energy and economic benefits as Arevon advances additional development in the region CLARK COUNTY, Nev. and SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading American energy developer, owner, and operator, celebrates 10 years of operations at its Moapa Solar Project. Located on the Moapa River Indian Reservation in Clark County, Nevada, the 344 megawatt (MWdc) solar facility began commercial operations in 2016 and has delivered significant benefits throughout its decade of operations, including: * Power for more than 53,000 homes annually: Moapa Solar generates enough electricity each year to power more than 53,000 homes, contributing domestically produced energy to the region. * Avoidance of more than 325,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually: Each year, the project helps reduce emissions through solar energy generation. * Savings of nearly 6.9 billion gallons of water annually: Solar generation at Moapa avoids the use of approximately 6.9 billion gallons of water each year. * Landowner payments to the Moapa Band of Paiutes: Moapa Solar provides ongoing payments to the Tribe, delivering an additional source of long-term economic benefits. * Property tax contributions to the community: Over its operating life, Moapa Solar is expected to contribute property tax payments that support local services and essential area operations. Arevon and the Moapa Band of Paiutes recognized the anniversary during a community celebration held September 26 on the Reservation, bringing together Tribal members and their descendants, elected officials, Arevon employees, and community partners to commemorate 10 years of Moapa Solar operations and the longstanding partnership between Arevon and the Tribe. Speakers included Chairwoman Janet Myers of the Moapa Band of Paiutes; Congressman Steven Horsford, 4th District of Nevada; Gregory Anderson, Sr., former Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the Moapa Band of Paiutes; Darren Daboda, former Chairman and current Tribal Historic Preservation Officer of the Moapa Band of Paiutes; Vickie Simmons, former Chairman of the Moapa Band of Paiutes; and Justin Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at Arevon.
