About the job

Requirements
  • At least 7 years of product management experience, with significant depth in post-purchase, member, subscriber, or retention-focused product work.
  • Experience defining experience strategy from ambiguity, articulating what a product should become, and building conviction around that vision.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional teams across design, engineering, brand, and marketing by setting strategic direction, not only managing delivery.
  • Product experience in direct-to-consumer ecommerce, including subscription or membership businesses at meaningful scale, and an understanding of retention as an experience problem.
  • Analytical fluency, including cohort analysis, lifetime value modeling, and experiment design.
  • Experience with experimentation-driven product development, including rapid prototyping, hypothesis-driven testing, and short-cycle iteration.
  • Experience writing product strategy documents, product requirements documents, and experiment briefs, and proficiency with product analytics tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex strategy clearly and structurally to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods and use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to participate in virtual meetings and communicate using video conferencing, messaging, email, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Ability to maintain the focus and availability necessary to perform essential functions during scheduled working hours.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end post-purchase member experience strategy, defining the member journey, how it evolves, and what to build to realize it.
  • Translate Seed’s science, brand, and retention goals into a product vision that earns sustained member engagement.
  • Design and run short-cycle experiments that test strategic hypotheses about member behavior and generate real signal.
  • Define the membership value architecture based on member needs and retention impact.
  • Own the content delivery strategy that makes science education a retention driver and advances toward dynamic, personalized surfacing.
  • Partner with Product Design to set the creative and strategic direction for member-facing experiences, including the member homepage and subscription management.
  • Collaborate with Growth Product on the funnel-to-member handoff and cross-sell positioning within the member journey.
  • Support multi-category expansion by understanding multi-product subscription behaviors and how the experience must evolve.
  • Inform the evolution of Seed’s owned digital experience alongside emerging agentic commerce channels.
  • Define how Seed’s owned member experience works alongside retail, Amazon, and marketplace channels, encouraging customers who find Seed elsewhere to become direct members and keeping the experience consistent across purchasing channels.
  • Produce a data-grounded product roadmap informed by audience segmentation and multi-product cohort data.
  • Present member experience strategy and experiment results to leadership.
  • Perform other ad hoc responsibilities and projects as business needs arise.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines.
  • Navigate changing priorities while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Demonstrate Seed’s values through work, decision-making, and collaboration.
  • Make decisions with incomplete information, and reframe, escalate, or stop stalled work rather than letting it drift.
  • Use AI thoughtfully and responsibly to improve productivity and effectiveness.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in health and wellness or with premium consumer brands.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce and subscription platforms and modern commerce infrastructure.
  • Experience with content-as-product or personalization systems.
  • Experience with voice-of-customer measurement such as Net Promoter Score or Customer Satisfaction Score.
  • Familiarity with agentic commerce and emerging channels in subscription experiences.
  • Experience at an omnichannel brand balancing direct-to-consumer with retail or marketplace channels.

Seed Health launches Resilient Soils Project to explore microbial solutions for PFAS contamination

Seed Health and The Two Frontiers Project have launched The Resilient Soils Project, a community science initiative investigating how microbes adapt to chemically impacted environments. The project explores whether microbial life is developing natural responses to "forever chemicals" like PFAS that could inform new remediation approaches. The initiative invites individuals to collect soil samples from contamination sites for metagenomic sequencing. Results will contribute to 2FP's Living Database, an open-access archive providing researchers with DNA sequencing data from chemically impacted environments. Under sustained chemical pressure, soil microbes can evolve metabolic pathways capable of transforming or breaking down contaminants. Previous Seed and 2FP collaborations have generated over 1,000 environmental data points, uncovering microbial communities with potential applications in carbon capture and coral reef resilience.

Seed Health Presents New Clinical Trial Data: Ds-01® Increases Two Key Microbiome Molecules Linked To Gut, Metabolic, Immune, And Cellular Health

DS-01® is the first broad-spectrum synbiotic clinically shown to increase production of both Urolithin A and butyrate—two key microbial metabolites linked to whole-body healthPresented at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2025, the findings expand DS-01®'s clinical foundation and reinforce the potential of microbiome-targeted products to impact multiple biological systemsBOSTON, May 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Microbiome science company Seed Health presented clinical data on its flagship innovation, DS-01® Daily Synbiotic, at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2025. Findings from a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial in healthy adults demonstrated that DS-01® increased production of two key microbial metabolites—Urolithin A and butyrate—implicated in gut barrier function, metabolism, and healthy aging. The trial also found reductions in C-Reactive Protein (CRP), a widely used marker of systemic inflammation, suggesting DS-01®'s potential to influence immune pathways. The findings underscore DS-01®'s impact beyond microbial composition, demonstrating measurable biological function through the production of microbiome-mediated metabolites. The company presented two posters during the "Prebiotics, Probiotics and Synbiotics in Health and Disease" session.Presentation HighlightsEffects of a novel, broad-spectrum synbiotic on Urolithin A production: A randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trialThis randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluated DS-01® for its ability to increase production of Urolithin A—a microbiome-derived metabolite linked to mitochondrial function, cellular energy, metabolic health, intestinal barrier integrity, and healthy aging. DS-01® provides the natural machinery to produce Urolithin A, delivering both a polyphenol precursor in its prebiotic outer capsule and key microbes in its probiotic inner capsule.Overall, this is the first study to demonstrate that a broad-spectrum synbiotic can increase Urolithin A production in humans. Key findings include:Rapid and Sustained Urolithin A Increase: DS-01® increased urinary Urolithin A levels by approximately 100-fold by Day 7 (P<0.0001), with levels sustained through Day 91.DS-01® increased urinary Urolithin A levels by approximately 100-fold by Day 7 (P<0.0001), with levels sustained through Day 91

Data from a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial demonstrated the superior efficacy of VS-01™ in cultivating a stable and healthy vaginal microbiome. The synbiotic successfully established a protective environment dominated by Lactobacillus crispatus and inhibited harmful microbes associated with vaginal dysbiosis and inflammation. These findings highlight the transformative potential of proactive, preventive care centered on the vaginal microbiome, shifting the focus from traditional symptom management to maintaining a balanced and resilient vaginal ecology.A landmark 2012 study from vaginal microbiome researcher Jacques Ravel, Ph.D., demonstrated that the most stable and optimal vaginal microbiome is characterized by a dominance of the bacterium Lactobacillus crispatus, which plays a protective role in maintaining vaginal health. However, everyday factors such as menstruation, sexual activity, exercise, stress, contraceptives, and cleansers can deplete the abundance of L
