Requirements
  • At least 10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven expertise in Java 8, 11, or 17; Spring Boot; Hibernate/JPA; and Spring Cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
  • Architect and implement robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Spring Cloud.
  • Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Apply modern DevOps principles with Maven, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native tools.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinement, and backlog grooming.
  • Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance or stability issues.
  • Establish practices to maintain high standards of software quality within the team.

  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and the ELK stack.

  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure on-premises and in public cloud environments, such as OpenShift and AWS.
  • Exposure to cloud-native development and container orchestration tools, including Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and front-end testing strategies and frameworks, including Cypress, Jasmine, Karma, and Selenium.
  • Exposure to event-driven design and architecture using Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, and CloudBees Jenkins.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to security, observability, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, and CloudWatch.
  • Exposure to database concepts including relational database management systems and NoSQL.

Coinbase and Citi link bank rails to stablecoin payments for merchants

Coinbase Global and Citi have launched new features linking the bank's payment systems with Coinbase's stablecoin infrastructure. Citi's Virtual Account Wallet for Coinbase will automatically convert client fiat balances into stablecoins and convert incoming stablecoins back into fiat. Merchants using Citi's Spring platform can now accept stablecoin payments whilst keeping settlement within Citi's regulated banking system. The partnership supports Coinbase's strategy to reduce reliance on trading fees by expanding subscription and service revenue, including payments infrastructure and custody services. Citi and Coinbase enable stablecoin-to-fiat conversion for merchants and businesses

Citi and Coinbase have expanded their partnership to bridge traditional banking and digital payments.
