Intapp lands OpenAI partnership for law firm AI despite 20% stock decline

Intapp has partnered with OpenAI to integrate its Celeste AI plug-in with ChatGPT Enterprise, targeting law firms. The integration allows firms to access internal data, workflows, and relationship intelligence through ChatGPT whilst maintaining confidentiality protocols and ethical walls. Shares rose 4% following the announcement. However, the stock remains under pressure, down roughly 20% year-to-date to around $36, compared with a $45 finish in 2025. The company is transitioning to cloud and AI services, with management guiding fiscal 2027 revenue between $656.5 million and $660.5 million. Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors selects Intapp DealCloud with Celeste to advance firmwide agentic AI strategy.

Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors selects Intapp DealCloud with Celeste to advance firmwide agentic AI strategy. Intapp (NASDAQ: INTA), the governed AI platform for professional firms in highly regulated industries, today announced that Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors has selected Intapp DealCloud with Celeste. Celeste's agentic capabilities will automate core deal workflows, surface insights from integrated data sources, and free the firm's corporate finance team to focus on clients - not routine tasks. Leading change Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors is the corporate finance advisory service line of Forvis Mazars, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the U.S. It operates in an environment where speed, precision, and data quality are core competitive advantages. The corporate finance team needed to reduce the manual, time-consuming work that slows deal execution, such as building buyer lists, tracking deal milestones, and managing outreach at scale. As part of a firmwide initiative to embed agentic AI across its platforms, the team chose DealCloud with Celeste to bring agentic automation to these workflows, with purpose-built playbooks that horizontal AI providers couldn't deliver. Addressing deal workflow automation By serving as the single system of record for relationships, deal pipeline, and market intelligence, DealCloud gives Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors a structured foundation on which AI can deliver real value. By applying agentic AI to the specific workflows that define investment banking and corporate finance practice, Celeste enables professionals to automate tasks that have traditionally consumed hours of their time. Supporting quotes Jason Corson, Managing Director, Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors "Our team handles complex, data-intensive deal processes, and the ability to streamline buyer list creation, outreach, and milestone tracking within the platform we already rely on is a meaningful step forward. Implementing Celeste supports our firmwide initiative to utilize agentic AI that understands our business - not a generic tool we have to work around." Tom Koehler, Global Managing Principal of Accounting and Consulting Industries, Intapp "For years, AI sat beside the work as a tool that a professional opened - separate from the deal and from the data the firm trusts. An agent is different. It acts on the work, so it has to be native to the workflow and connected to the sources the firm already relies on. That's the shift Forvis Mazars is making: from AI that makes a professional faster, to AI built into how the business of the firm actually runs." Intapp launches DealCloud plug-in for ChatGPT for finance.

Intapp launches DealCloud plug-in for ChatGPT for finance. Sat, 12th Sep 2026 (Today) Intapp has launched a DealCloud with Celeste plug-in for ChatGPT for Financial Services, giving eligible clients access to firm data within the platform. Designed for deal teams in financial services, the software links a firm's client, deal and relationship records from DealCloud to ChatGPT. Intapp said the tool is governed by its existing controls for confidential information, information barriers and independence obligations. DealCloud is Intapp's platform for managing relationships, transactions and related workflows in financial services. Celeste is its internal AI assistant focused on firm-specific knowledge. The new plug-in brings those records into OpenAI's ChatGPT for Financial Services, which Intapp described as a version of ChatGPT tailored to the sector. According to Intapp, ChatGPT for Financial Services combines built-in financial data with GPT-6 Astra to support tasks such as research, financial modelling and client materials. Adding DealCloud with Celeste is intended to let users draw on their own firm's records alongside those functions. Intapp said thousands of firms use its software, including about 1,700 in private capital and investment banking. That installed base gives it a large pool of structured data on deals, investors and relationships across firms operating in regulated markets. Governance focus A central part of the launch is Intapp's emphasis on governance and compliance controls. Internal knowledge can only be exposed to an AI model if confidential information remains protected, the company said, adding that the rules already established in its systems carry over to the new ChatGPT plug-in for Financial Services. That matters in financial services, where material non-public information, internal access restrictions and independence requirements can limit how data is shared within organisations. Intapp said it built those controls into its products over two decades and is now applying the same framework to AI use. Intapp set out several uses for the plug-in, including helping professionals prepare for meetings with a broader history of a client relationship, identify colleagues with relevant connections and track the status of live deals without relying on separate manual updates. The launch also reflects how software suppliers to banks, advisers and private capital firms are trying to move beyond generic AI assistants by linking them to proprietary internal records. For many users, the value of these tools depends less on general world knowledge than on access to a firm's own relationship history, transaction data and internal decision-making context. OpenAI has been seeking more industry-specific uses for ChatGPT through tailored versions for sectors with specialised workflows and data requirements. In this case, Intapp is positioning its software as the layer that determines what a user can see from a firm's records when interacting with the model. Client access The DealCloud with Celeste plug-in is available to eligible Intapp clients in ChatGPT for Financial Services. Intapp did not provide pricing details in the announcement. Thad Jampol, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Intapp, outlined the company's view of where the product fits in the market: "Frontier models know the world. But they don't know your firm: who you cover, what you've committed to, what your people are and aren't permitted to see. Intapp built Celeste to be that intelligence, and we're proud to bring this plug-in into ChatGPT for Financial Services for the world's leading financial firms. Everything else in this market can be bought. What a firm knows cannot."
