Acronis adds dark web monitoring to MDR service.

Acronis adds dark web monitoring to MDR service. Mon, 26th Oct 2026 (Today) Acronis has expanded its managed detection and response service with dark web monitoring, broader language support and new customer communication options. The update also includes early access plans for managed identity threat detection and response. The additions are aimed at managed service providers that need round-the-clock security monitoring and response without building their own security operations centre. Acronis said its managed detection and response, or MDR, service now supports Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese alongside English, with French to follow. It has also introduced an optional add-on that sends incident notifications and reports directly to designated customer contacts. Eligible telecoms customers can now self-activate MDR through the management console once their provider has enabled the offering. Dark web focus A key part of the expansion is dark web monitoring. Partners can request an immediate one-off scan to identify leaked information, data and credentials linked to a customer domain. Ongoing domain-based monitoring is due to be added later. The service is intended to help managed service providers identify compromised credentials or other exposed data already circulating online. This gives providers a way to start client discussions with evidence of exposure while assessing follow-up actions. Acronis is also preparing managed identity threat detection and response, or ITDR, for selected partners in early access ahead of a wider launch. The service is designed to address risks linked to user identities, a common route into business systems when attackers gain access to accounts and credentials. Broader protection Acronis presents the changes as part of a broader move beyond endpoint-focused security. Modern working environments span devices, cloud applications, identities and business data, creating connected risks that can spread across systems when one account or asset is compromised. That creates a practical challenge for managed service providers, which are often expected to maintain continuous coverage despite limited specialist staffing. Security incidents can emerge outside normal working hours, and providers may need outside support to investigate and respond before damage spreads. Acronis said its MDR service is delivered through its own security operations centre and backed by the Acronis Threat Research Unit. The service works alongside the company's endpoint detection and response and extended detection and response tools, with the aim of giving providers both alerting and operational support. The company also outlined how its more advanced service tier links security response to backup recovery and remote monitoring and management actions. In practice, incident response can include not only containment and remediation but also rollback and restoration, depending on the agreed service scope and available licences. Partner uptake Acronis said all partners that joined the early access cohort for its MDR service continued into general availability, giving it a 100% conversion rate. It said this showed managed service providers see value in outsourcing parts of security operations rather than building a full internal security operations centre. One example came from Dutch managed service provider SIX ICT, whose Chief Executive Officer Robert Nieuwenhuijse said the service helped it add continuous security monitoring without creating its own in-house operation. "It shows the seniority of the experts protecting our systems," said Nieuwenhuijse. Acronis also pointed to Australian provider IT&T, which serves medical practices and other health care organisations. The provider uses monthly security operations centre reports from the service in customer discussions with boards, turning incident monitoring into a reporting and governance tool as well as a technical function. Market context The changes reflect a broader shift in cyber security services as providers seek to widen protection from endpoints to identity, data exposure and recovery. Dark web monitoring has become a common add-on in managed security, particularly as service providers look for ways to show customers evidence of risk beyond traditional malware alerts. Identity-related monitoring is also gaining attention because compromised accounts can give attackers direct access to software services, internal documents and administrative systems. By adding ITDR to its roadmap, Acronis is pushing its managed security service further into that area. For telecoms providers and managed service partners, the operational changes may be as significant as the new monitoring features. Direct customer communications and self-activation can reduce administrative work, while multilingual support may help providers handle incidents across broader customer bases. Acronis said the latest additions are intended to make continuous security support easier to deliver across customer environments that now extend across devices, applications, identities and data.

stc Bahrain and Acronis partner to bring advanced endpoint security to businesses in Bahrain.

stc Bahrain and Acronis partner to bring advanced endpoint security to businesses in Bahrain. We are proud to announce a strategic partnership with stc Bahrain, expanding access to advanced cybersecurity services for businesses across Bahrain. Last updated October 26, 2026 We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with stc Bahrain, marking an important step in expanding access to advanced cybersecurity services for businesses across Bahrain. This collaboration reinforces our shared commitment to helping local businesses strengthen their cyber resilience. stc Bahrain chose Acronis for its integrated cybersecurity and endpoint management platform, which enables stc to deliver scalable cybersecurity services tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Together, stc Bahrain and Acronis aim to strengthen SME cybersecurity, accelerate digital adoption and expand stc's cybersecurity portfolio as client needs evolve. Through this partnership, stc Bahrain has launched stc Secure360, powered by Acronis, an endpoint security service that combines advanced protection, detection and response capabilities in a simplified, scalable offering. Moving beyond traditional endpoint protection. Traditional antivirus remains important, but advanced threats are designed to evade signature-based protections. According to the Acronis Cyber Threats Report H2 2025, nearly 3,000 critical vulnerabilities were disclosed in 2025, highlighting the importance and urgency of patch management. Additionally, 100% of vulnerabilities disclosed in MSP platforms, such as remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA) tools, were High or Critical. With attackers increasingly using techniques to exploit unpatched vulnerabilities or move laterally through environments before conventional tools can identify malicious activity, endpoint detection and response (EDR) has become an essential component of modern cybersecurity. stc Secure360 makes endpoint protection flexible and accessible. stc Secure360 brings together business-grade endpoint security and management capabilities without the complexity of managing multiple solutions. To make advanced cybersecurity more accessible to SMEs in Bahrain, stc Secure360 is offered in two security packages: Standard Protection and Advanced Protection. Standard Protection includes EDR powered by Acronis, which continuously monitors endpoint activity, identifies suspicious behavior and gives organizations the capabilities to investigate, respond to and remediate threats. Advanced Protection combines EDR with RMM adding capabilities automated patch management to help businesses address software vulnerabilities. This enables security and IT teams to investigate and respond to threats, remediate incidents, and manage patches through a unified solution. Global technology backed by local expertise. Combining Acronis' global cybersecurity technology with stc Bahrain's local expertise is at the heart of this partnership, making advanced protection more accessible to businesses across Bahrain. Hesham Mustafa, Chief Business & Wholesale Officer of stc Bahrain, commented: "Small and medium businesses in Bahrain increasingly recognize the importance of cybersecurity. What stops them is cost and complexity - enterprise security platforms are priced and built for organizations that have their own security teams." He added, "Secure360 removes both barriers. Working with Acronis lets us offer smaller businesses the same standard of detection and response that larger enterprises rely on, delivered and supported by stc here in Bahrain." stc Group is one of the Middle East's largest and most prominent telecommunications and digital technology groups, with established capabilities across connectivity, cloud, ICT and cybersecurity. Acronis' partnership is with stc Bahrain, the Group's wholly owned Bahraini telecommunications and digital services subsidiary. Since launching in Bahrain in 2010, the company has expanded beyond connectivity into digital transformation services including cloud, IT and cybersecurity. Through its business division, stc Bahrain provides technology solutions to businesses ranging from SMEs to large enterprises. By combining stc Bahrain's local market expertise, customer relationships and service capabilities with Acronis Cyber Platform, the partnership creates a strong foundation for helping Bahraini organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture. Making stronger security more accessible. Every organization should be able to benefit from modern endpoint protection, regardless of the size of its internal security team. Through this partnership, Acronis and stc Bahrain are making advanced endpoint security more accessible, helping businesses detect threats, respond faster, and reduce security risks while staying focused on their core business priorities. As threats continue to evolve, resilience will depend not only on detecting attacks but also on responding quickly and addressing the vulnerabilities that attackers seek to exploit. Come meet Acronis at Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit Toronto 2026.

Come meet Acronis at Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit Toronto 2026. October 21, 2026 Guest: Stephen Nichols, Canadian Country Manager for Acronis. a global software company specializing in integrated cybersecurity, data protection (backup), and endpoint management. Stephen will talk about bridging the security gap for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Robust cybersecurity requires breaking down tool silos by unifying endpoint detection, backup, automation, and device management into a single console, eliminating the operational complexity of moving across multiple point solutions. To keep enterprise-grade protection affordable for SMBs operating below the "cybersecurity poverty line," Acronis utilizes tiered platform pricing and enables MSPs to reduce their tool stack from seven or eight point tools down to four or five. This consolidation increases technician workload capacity by 20% to 30%, reduces operational management overhead, and allows MSPs to flexibly toggle modular security policies on demand without requiring a total rip-and-replace of existing customer environments.
