About the job

Requirements
  • 2–5+ years of experience in HR operations, HR information systems, or HR data roles.
  • Experience making data changes in Workday Human Capital Management, including managing employee data throughout the full employee lifecycle: employee changes, organizational updates, job changes, and audits.
  • A solid understanding of payroll and benefits data and of how human resources information system integrations feed those systems.
  • A track record of building reconciliation, audit, or error-reporting processes from scratch.
  • Strong attention to detail, a habit of checking work before and after changes, and sound judgment with sensitive, confidential employee data.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation, plus sound judgment when using artificial intelligence tools, including knowing when human review is essential.
  • Clear communication with employees and stakeholders at every level.
  • A process-improvement mindset: addressing underlying causes of recurring problems and building scalable processes that uphold data standards while enabling the business.
Responsibilities
  • Process and approve role changes such as transfers, promotions, manager and title changes, and relocations, using the compensation calculator for basic geographic adjustments and partnering with Global Mobility on more complex moves.
  • Own intake and completion of one-off data changes through Serval ticketing-system tickets, meet service-level agreements, and provide employees with a clear, helpful experience.
  • Review and approve data-change transactions to protect data quality.
  • Support internal mobility cycles and position management in Workday and Ashby.
  • Own bulk data changes from start to finish, including reorganizations, compensation cycles, and mass updates: prepare and validate data, run loads, and confirm results.
  • Build review steps and checklists that make large changes repeatable and low-risk, and partner with the human resources information systems team on Enterprise Interface Builder templates and system-level controls.
  • Build and run regular reconciliations between Workday and downstream systems, including benefits providers and international payroll.
  • Monitor integration errors, identify root causes, and fix data and process gaps with human resources information systems, Payroll, Benefits, and vendor partners; escalate system or integration fixes to human resources information systems with clear root-cause analysis.
  • Define and document employee-data standards, ownership, and controls, and run regular audits to identify and fix issues in partnership with the human resources information systems team.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on how employee data works at Ramp and help teammates and partners understand it.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a fast-growing company where the organizational structure changes often.
  • Experience with Serval, JIRA, or similar service-desk tools.
  • Experience with Workday reporting.
  • SQL skills.

Ramp launches nonprofit platform to recover sales tax and enforce grant controls

Ramp launched Ramp for Nonprofits on October 21, 2026, a platform to help finance teams recover sales tax they should not have paid and keep spending in line with grant restrictions and donor intent. The tool covers cards, expenses, accounts payable, and accounting workflows. It routes purchases to the right owner, codes them to the right fund and program, and captures receipts and approval trails. Features include sales tax reclamation and exemption, grant budgets, grant manager approval routing, and a Grant Policy Agent that checks spend against grant rules. Ramp says it already serves more than 13,000 nonprofits. The Jewish Fertility Foundation saved more than $45,000 in its first year, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America saves 50+ hours a month. A launch webinar takes place on November 10.

Ramp acquires treasury platform Vesto days after $1.85B raise at $60B valuation

Ramp, the expense management fintech, has acquired Vesto, a New York-headquartered treasury management platform, for an undisclosed sum. Benjamin Döpfner founded Vesto in 2022. Its dashboard lets businesses view all their bank accounts in one place. Döpfner will join Ramp's product team. Ramp customers will be able to analyse Ramp checking and investment accounts alongside accounts from more than 12,000 other institutions, including Bank of America CashPro, JP Morgan Access, CitiDirect, and Wells Fargo Vantage. Vesto's technology will also help them forecast cashflow. The deal follows Ramp's application to the OCC for a national trust bank charter. A week earlier, Ramp raised $1.85 billion at a $60 billion valuation.

Ramp, valued at $60B, applies for US national trust bank charter

Ramp, a US fintech company that offers corporate cards and spend-management software, applied on October 19 to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for a trust bank charter. The proposed entity would be called Ramp National Trust Bank. If approved, it could provide fiduciary investment management and custody for digital assets. Ramp said it would not take deposits or make commercial loans. The application adds to a wider push by startups into regulated banking. Revolut said it received conditional approval on September 3, 2026, to form a US national bank. Ramp was valued at $60 billion in a new funding round and has annualised revenue of $2 billion.
