About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, facilities operations, or critical infrastructure, including substantial time in data centers or other mission-critical environments.
  • A track record as the technical subject matter expert for the full electrical chain, including utility and grid interface, substations, medium-voltage distribution, transformers, protection, standby generation, low-voltage distribution, and critical loads.
  • Depth in protection, including numerical relays and intelligent electronic devices, coordination and selectivity, relay settings, fault analysis, interlocking, and control schemes.
  • Working experience with IEC 61850, supervisory control and data acquisition, electrical power monitoring system integration, and arc flash assessment.
  • Hands-on switching operations, commissioning, energization, and operational readiness in live critical facilities.
  • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70 and 70E standards, and local electrical regulations across Southeast Asia.
  • English and Mandarin language proficiency.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, communicate technical and operational issues to different audiences, constructively challenge unsupported recommendations, and create sustainable solutions through written standards, knowledge transfer, and capability building.

Responsibilities

  • Set regional and global engineering standards for Southeast Asia sites, including switching standards, arc flash standards, and maintenance playbooks.
  • Take escalations for complex electrical events, including protection trips, faults, UPS and generator abnormalities, switching events, power quality issues, and degraded operating modes.
  • Lead root cause analysis for significant incidents and drive corrective actions across all sites.
  • Own the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle of utility intake, high-, medium-, and low-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
  • Cover the standby and critical power chain, including generators, UPS, batteries, static transfer switches, power distribution units and remote power panels, busway, earthing, and electrical monitoring.
  • Improve availability and lifecycle cost through preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance, and improve power quality, load utilization, redundancy, and power usage effectiveness.
  • Take new capacity from commissioning, energization, and integrated systems testing through operational readiness into live operation.
  • Hold OEMs, service providers, consultants, and contractors to maintenance quality and safe execution.
  • Build regional capability in switching discipline, UPS and generator systems, protection coordination, and incident response.
  • Enforce permit-to-work, lockout-tagout, arc flash controls, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations in every market and DayOne operational risk requirements.
  • Make switching discipline the default practice for site teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor fabs, hyperscale facilities, oil and gas, utilities, or power generation.
  • Design experience alongside site operations experience.
  • Multi-site or regional program experience.
  • Previous team leadership or professional certification.
