Coveo acquires Y Combinator-backed Anglera to enrich product data for AI shopping

Coveo (TSX: CVO) has acquired Anglera, a San Francisco-based, Y Combinator-backed startup that uses AI to enrich product data. Anglera's platform will join Coveo's Commerce offering. Terms were not disclosed. Anglera's AI extracts product details from specifications, PDFs, and images, then standardises and validates them against each customer's catalogue. NielsenIQ estimates missing product attributes can cut discoverability by up to 30%. In a 30-day A/B test with an apparel retailer, pages with Anglera-enriched data saw a 120% rise in organic landing-page traffic and a 270% rise in AI-referred visits. Anglera's customers, including several Fortune 500 companies, will stay on its platform. Coveo Commerce customers can add Anglera's tools as an add-on.
