About the company

Pogo is a consumer fintech app that links users’ bank cards to automatically earn rewards and refunds on bank fees, with receipts captured to accumulate points that can be cashed out instantly to PayPal. The app runs in the background after card connection, using purchases, location-based rewards, and quick surveys to generate points, while charging a small service fee for the service. It stands out by delivering a hands-off experience and instant PayPal payouts, plus a mix of rewards and surveys that keeps users engaged. The goal is to help people save money and get more value from everyday spending without extra effort.

What believers are saying

  • Pogo raised $32 million by June 2026, giving it meaningful runway.
  • Brands get verified-buyer interviews in hours, a strong sell versus survey fraud.
  • September 2026 Pogo studies show active panel depth across grocery, retail, and switching behavior.

What critics are saying

  • Qualtrics, YouGov, and Zappi sell similar insights without consumer app dependency.
  • Pogo's pivot from rewards app to research platform risks churn among cash-seeking users.
  • A privacy backlash or data-broker regulation in 2026 can kill consented-data monetization.

What makes Pogo unique

  • Pogo owns 3 million opted-in users and verified purchase data as of June 2026.
  • Its June 2026 AI research launch turns consumer data into instant brand insights.
  • Permissioned linkage across transactions, receipts, app usage, and location makes replication slow.

Pogo raises $32M for AI research platform connecting brands with purchase-verified buyers

Pogo has launched an AI research platform connecting brands with purchase-verified buyers and announced $32 million in total funding from investors including Josh Buckley, Mantis, 20VC and Village Global. Founded in 2020, Pogo operates a consumer app with three million opted-in US users, providing visibility into one in every 150 US shopping trips across $470 billion in transaction value. The platform uses AI to conduct thousands of moderated video interviews simultaneously with verified buyers, delivering insights within hours. The company addresses fraud issues in traditional consumer research by verifying respondents through observed transaction data at SKU level. Brands can target specific audiences, such as recent product purchasers or customers who switched to competitors. Users earn money by sharing transaction data, receipts, app usage and location information. Newsweek has rated Pogo the top US loyalty app for two consecutive years.
