About the Job

Requirements

  • Strong server-side engineering expertise with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar technologies, flexibility across languages and frameworks, and strong front-end expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems design, including microservices, service-oriented architectures, and event-driven architectures.
  • Solid grounding in cloud-native engineering on AWS, including load balancing, API gateways, resilience patterns, observability, and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of data and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka Streams, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as REST and GraphQL API design patterns.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and container platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, and Terraform, alongside modern front-end build and tooling ecosystems such as Node.js, bundlers, and package managers.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, observability, and monitoring toolchains such as GitLab, Harness, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry across server-side and client-side stacks.
  • Awareness of security principles, secure coding practices, and common threat models in large-scale systems, including XSS, CSRF, and safe handling of user data.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex, and their effective application in a professional full-stack engineering workflow.
  • Ability to design, build, and operate scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available full-stack applications in production, spanning React-based front ends and JVM-based back ends.
  • Strong software craftsmanship across the stack, including clean code, component design, testing, refactoring, and code review skills.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex production issues across front-end, application, data, and infrastructure layers, including browser compatibility and performance problems.
  • Ability to translate business and product requirements into robust technical designs and make sound trade-offs on user experience, performance, cost, and complexity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skill in mentoring and coaching engineers across front-end and back-end disciplines, including guidance on effective use of AI-assisted development practices.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to take end-to-end ownership of complex production systems, from front-end experience through back-end services and long-term operation.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a data-informed approach to technical and product decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid, cross-functional, and multicultural environment with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and evolving architectural patterns across the full stack.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and raising the engineering bar within the team and wider organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve scalable, resilient full-stack systems spanning React-based user interfaces and distributed backend services, applying sound architectural principles and technical trade-offs to deliver fast, reliable user experiences.
  • Own the full software lifecycle of end-to-end product features, from UX and API design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production support, following engineering best practices and operational standards.
  • Improve system reliability and end-user performance across front-end and backend layers through observability, automation, and operational excellence aligned with cloud-native and SRE practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and technical design discussions with engineering peers on client-side and server-side work, following internal engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Mentor and coach fellow engineers on full-stack development, modern web practices, and AI-assisted engineering, guided by team development plans and industry best practices.
  • Partner with designers, product managers, back-end engineers, and architects on cross-team initiatives, influencing technical and product decisions to drive alignment and delivery of strategic user-facing projects.
