Fifth annual Silicon Valley Video Summit names video pioneer Andrew Cross as 2027 Conference Chair.

Fifth annual Silicon Valley Video Summit names video pioneer Andrew Cross as 2027 Conference Chair. 14/10/2026 The Silicon Valley Video Summit (SVVS), the premier gathering for the region's enterprise video, broadcast, and AV community, today announced its return to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, for its fifth annual Summit on Tuesday, January 26, 2027. Industry technologist and video innovation leader Andrew Cross has been named Conference Chair for the 2027 event. Cross, inventor of the widely adopted NDI (Network Device Interface) video standard, recently served as GM of New Initiatives at Amazon and previously held executive leadership roles as CEO of Grass Valley, President of R&D at Vizrt Group, and CEO of NewTek. Video is the single most compelling corporate communication medium for building business relationships at scale, said Cross. The potential for producers and technology providers is enormous: in the U.S. alone, there are over 300,000 businesses with more than 50 employees-representing a market 100 times larger than the entire traditional TV ecosystem. For every one of them, the story they tell with video tells the world who they are, what they make, and why it matters. Now in its fifth year, SVVS brings together senior enterprise executives, systems engineers, creative directors, and technical producers from Silicon Valley's leading technology companies and production facilities to explore how video is transforming corporate communications, internal knowledge sharing, and brand strategy. The 2027 Summit will once again be title-sponsored by Advanced Systems Group (ASG) and B&H Photo. 2027 Programming Highlights Key topics for the 2027 Summit and Enterprise Video Forum include: Big Tech Goes Back to the Office: As Silicon Valley's leading corporations bring employees back to the workplace, how are their priorities changing for the use and deployment of video technologies? When Video Becomes Knowledge: Unlocking corporate video archives and training libraries to turn media into actionable, AI-accessible institutional intelligence. Software vs. Hardware: Examining the shift toward software-defined IP workflows and the continuing need for dedicated hardware infrastructure. The Event as a Content Factory: Rethinking live corporate event production to maximize content creation and distribution across global channels. The Media-Trained Workforce: Exploring the strategic advantages of empowering employees across departments to become skilled video creators. Broadcast Quality Without the Complexity: How can technology providers deliver broadcast-level quality and reliability without requiring broadcast-level expertise? Real-World ST 2110 Workshop: Examining the practical realities of ST 2110 adoption, where pure end-to-end implementations remain the exception rather than the norm in enterprise environments. DIY AI Video Tools Workshop: What's being built, what's being used, and how are emerging AI video tools changing the production landscape? Event Details & Registration Date: Tuesday, January 26, 2027 Location: Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View, CA 94043 Website: www.siliconvalley.video Registration for the Silicon Valley Video Summit opens October 15, 2026.
