About the job

Requirements
  • Proven experience building AI-powered or agentic products, with examples of products, prototypes, or agents personally researched, designed, or built.
  • A strong portfolio of commercially shipped products used by real customers, demonstrating personal contribution and measurable user or business impact.
  • Proven experience leading both product design and user research, owning the end-to-end product experience while remaining hands-on in research, prototyping, and design.
  • A track record of using user, market, and industry research to shape product direction and translate insights into a clear product and experience vision.
  • Practical AI fluency across the research and design process, including design systems built for AI generation using tokens, structure, and systems that scale without manual upkeep.
  • Experience leading and developing designers and researchers, setting direction and standards while working closely with Product Management and other product and technology disciplines.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the research and design team toward a clear picture of the AI-native product and agentic commerce experience, setting the bar through hands-on work alongside the team.
  • Own the end-to-end product experience, ensuring it holds together, earns trust, and performs across the customer journey.
  • Design agentic experiences, including agent behavior, when agents surface, and how transparency, control, and fallback are incorporated into conversational and headless interactions.
  • Build an AI-native, machine-readable, token-driven design system that AI tooling can use to generate consistent, high-fidelity design and that can be picked up automatically rather than maintained by hand.
  • Own the direction of the research agenda on agentic commerce, the future of B2B commerce, changes in buyer and seller behavior, and trust and privacy when agents transact on someone's behalf.
  • Maintain a high bar for fidelity and quality and establish methods that allow a small team to sustain it at speed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in e-commerce, B2B or B2C, is strongly preferred; experience with B2B commerce and complex buyer and seller journeys is particularly relevant.
