81% of Singaporeans plan to use AI for gift shopping, Klaviyo finds

Klaviyo says 81% of Singaporeans plan to use AI for gift shopping. Among Singapore respondents, 31% of AI-assisted shoppers planned to spend more than last year, compared with 10% of non-users. The company also said its Composer tool can flag underperforming campaigns without a prompt. Its Customer Agent can answer shopper questions in more than 100 languages. The updates come as Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission has issued advisory guidelines on the use of personal data in generative AI. How eCommerce brands are turning repeat customers into their most profitable growth channel.

How eCommerce brands are turning repeat customers into their most profitable growth channel. Customer retention in eCommerce is more crucial than ever. Brands strive to offer special loyalty bonuses, VIP tiers, and subscription benefits to win over marketplaces that dominate the market. However, the infrastructure doesn't make it easy. Subscriptions, loyalty points, in-cart upsells, and customer portals are all scattered across separate apps to manage, and this stack grows heavier and more expensive with every new feature a brand adds. To solve this problem, LION Digital has partnered with PerkRunner, the all-in-one loyalty and subscription platform. It can help eCommerce brands unify the post-purchase experience and turn repeat customers into their most profitable growth channel. The solution built by operators who've lived the problem. PerkRunner was founded by brothers Benjamin and Robert Gibson, who spent years working with D2C drinks brands across LVMH, Chanel, Duckhorn Portfolio and hundreds more implementations. That experience showed them how brands struggle to deliver a good experience for shoppers due to messy multi-app management. PerkRunner became their answer for retail. The team wanted to make subscriptions and loyalty easier for brands to manage and better for customers. So the Gibson brothers funnelled their knowledge and expertise into a slick unified product that helps retailers do more with less! How PerkRunner delivers results. PerkRunner brings subscriptions, loyalty, memberships, customer perks, and in-store recognition into a single platform, replacing the multi-app stack. It helps eCommerce brands unify the whole experience, including: * Multi-Frequency Subscriptions - Flexible delivery schedules that adapt to how customers actually want to buy. * Spend-Based Loyalty Tiers - Automatic tier progression rewards customers as they spend, without manual admin or point-tracking spreadsheets. * Promotion Planning - Brands build out their unique site-wide or loyalty tier specific promotion schedules offering timebound or inventory-bound unique perks and experiences! * Smart Cart - In-cart upsells and rewards display, surfacing the right offer when a customer is most likely to act on it. * Self-Service Branded Customer Portal - A single hub where shoppers manage subscriptions, track loyalty status, and redeem perks, reducing support tickets and boosting satisfaction. * Shopify POS Integration - Loyalty and subscription benefits are recognised in-store, not just online, so the brand experience stays consistent across every touchpoint. * Recurring Revenue Analytics - Purpose-built reporting on subscriber growth, loyalty performance, and recurring revenue, giving brands a clear view of their most predictable income stream. PerkRunner is also deeply integrated with top apps most brands already use, like Klaviyo, so marketing automation and loyalty data work together. Proven success: iKOU. iKOU is an Australian luxury natural skincare, body care, and wellness brand. They deliver premium products and services and want their customer experience to be outstanding as well. That's what PerkRunner helped deliver. iKOU used the platform at full capacity. They run flexible subscriptions across a range of its key products, offer spend-based loyalty and rewards tiers with unique perks, and run the PerkRunner's Smart Cart to drive in-cart engagement. iKOU's managing director summed up the partnership: "PerkRunner came up as the clear winner for features, implementation, and support. This is a company that understands modern eCommerce and in-store experience." Ultimately, PerkRunner helped iKOU build stronger customer relationships and boost a powerful revenue channel. Complementing LION Digital's expertise. LION Digital is a marketing agency, specialising in eCommerce. With a veteran team combining over 25 years of dedicated industry experience, the team knows exactly where online businesses get stuck - and how to help them break through and grow. That's why LION Digital recommends PerkRunner, a forward-thinking technology that propels eCommerce brands into growth mode. It delivers flexibility across loyalty, rewards, subscriptions, and in-store recognition, so LION Digital clients can bring ideas to life faster and delight customers sooner without the delays and costs of managing a fragmented app stack. PerkRunner is particularly well-suited to beauty, health and fitness, pet, supplement, and other recurrent-use product brands, where subscription and loyalty behaviour are already central to how customers buy. Plus, it's wholly Australian-based and built, giving clients access to local support rather than an offshore help desk working across time zones. They're an adaptable team that focuses on quality over quantity and takes pride in the clients they work with. It's the same professional approach LION Digital stakes its reputation on. Improve customer retention with LION Digital and PerkRunner. If your brand is managing subscriptions, loyalty, and perks across a fragmented app stack, or if you're not yet offering them at all, now is the time to explore what PerkRunner can do. As a LION Digital partner offer, brands that come on board through this partnership receive free migration and 50% off subscription processing on 12-month agreements - that's effectively six months free. It's an offer exclusive to LION Digital clients and readers, with no usual setup cost or downtime. PerkRunner's team is also available for dedicated loyalty consultations to help scope out the right setup for your brand. Get in touch with LION Digital to explore what's possible for your brand, backed by LION's CRO expertise and PerkRunner's customer retention platform - LION Digital Pty Ltd'll help connect you with the right team for a consultation.

What a real multi-vendor integration looks like: Olo, Klaviyo, and ADA compliance for a restaurant group.

What a real multi-vendor integration looks like: Olo, Klaviyo, and ADA compliance for a restaurant group. September 21, 2026 Most of what I write here is framed around what to ask before you sign with an agency. This one is a little different - it's what that work actually looks like once it's underway, using a real project as the example. I recently completed ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA remediation for a multi-location restaurant brand's WordPress site, and followed that with a Martech project integrating Olo's online ordering system with Klaviyo for automated marketing. Doing the compliance work first, then layering integrations on top of it, is a good illustration of how these pieces have to fit together rather than get bolted on separately. The starting problem. The site needed ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA remediation first, before any new functionality was layered on - fixing the foundation before building on top of it. Once that work was in place, the next phase was integrating Olo's ordering system and connecting Klaviyo for email marketing. Olo doesn't have a native WordPress plugin - it's typically brought into a site through its embeddable widget or API, which behaves like a third-party component dropped into the page rather than a deeply integrated WordPress feature. On paper these look like separate projects done in sequence. In practice, doing accessibility first meant every new integration afterward had to be held to the same standard rather than introduce new gaps into a site that had just been fixed. An email integration that doesn't respect how order and customer data actually structures itself in Olo produces broken segments and bad personalization. Treating later phases as disconnected from the accessibility work that came before them is exactly how a project ends up needing to be redone. How the pieces actually connected. The ADA remediation came first and covered the whole site - the usual list of alt text, contrast, keyboard traps, form labels, and skip links - establishing a baseline the rest of the project had to hold to. The Klaviyo integration, done alongside the Olo work, meant making sure customer and order data flowing from the site and from Olo reached Klaviyo in a form that actually supported segmentation and personalization - not just a name and email address, but the data that makes an email program worth running. Why this is the right way to think about these projects. When an operations manager or marketing director is evaluating an agency for a project like this, the real question isn't whether the agency has worked with Olo, or Klaviyo, or accessibility remediation individually. It's whether they understand the right order to do the work in - fixing the foundation before building integrations on top of it - and whether they recognize that a third-party ordering widget doesn't automatically inherit the accessibility or performance standards of the site it's embedded in, and has to be tested on its own terms. What i'd tell a colleague evaluating a similar project. Ask an agency how they'd sequence a project like this - which work happens first, and why. If accessibility isn't treated as the foundation that later integrations get built on, that's worth a follow-up question, because on a real project, doing it in the wrong order usually means doing some of it twice. Andrea Straughn
