Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience working in a healthcare environment is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
  • The candidate must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform the duties of the position.
Responsibilities
  • Support the anesthesia team by assisting anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists performing anesthetic procedures for patients.
  • Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia supplies and equipment using sterile technique and universal precautions.
  • Perform and document equipment maintenance.
  • Order and maintain par levels of anesthesia equipment and intravenous solutions.
  • Handle pharmaceuticals related to the administration of anesthesia under supervision, including rotating supplies, requisitioning supplies to maintain par levels, removing expired medications, and stocking carts.
  • Assist members of the anesthesia team as directed by safely and appropriately distributing anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with anesthesia equipment care and/or sterilization technique is preferred.
  • ASATT certification for Anesthesia Technician or related work experience is preferred.
