Requirements
  • Recovery room or critical care experience, including airway management.
  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support recognition within one year.
  • Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support recognition within one year.
  • Demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills, and sensitivity for patients and families in crisis.
  • Interact professionally and communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and the public.
  • Organize and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Remain calm, efficient, and focused in a demanding environment.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Participate actively in continuing education programs, unit-based quality-improvement task forces, and preceptor programs.
  • Perform the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in accordance with Enloe Medical Center standards, policies, and practices.
  • Prioritize patient needs and coordinate patient care.
  • Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to provide care according to the medical plan of care.
  • Perform as a preceptor in training students.
  • Act as a department resource and positive role model.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current or recent outpatient surgery experience.
  • Recovery room experience, including airway management.
  • Certified Peri-Anesthesia Nurse certification and/or Certified Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia certification.
