Requirements
  • At least one year of recent registration or billing experience working in a medical facility is preferred.
  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals is preferred.
  • Experience with Epic is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A customer service-oriented attitude and a pleasant, poised demeanor are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette are required.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette, and customer satisfaction in support of the hospital’s mission.
  • Serve as the front-line contact for incoming patients.
  • Greet and register patients.
  • Schedule patients.
  • Collect point-of-service copayments.
  • Provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET.
  • Serve as the patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
Desired Qualifications
