  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English and able to certify in English.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background check, including credit and criminal history, to determine fitness for a federal security clearance, and must be able to obtain the clearance.
  • Applicants must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, accurate and fast keyboarding, and internet-based research.
  • Applicants must have oral and written communication skills sufficient to exchange information with customers clearly and accurately.
  • Applicants must be able to take direction in a team setting and complete team-related work promptly.
  • Applicants must be flexible with work hours and shifts, including some weekends, and be available to work any shift based on current contract needs.
  • Applicants must be able to multitask and speak, listen, read, and use a computer simultaneously during their shift, and be mobile throughout the building.
  • Applicants must be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls in a timely manner to provide customer service.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to respond to calls and route them appropriately.
  • Gather information to determine customers’ needs, apply problem-solving skills, and effectively resolve inquiries and requests.
  • Schedule appointments for customers with urgent travel.
  • Access the knowledge base to provide information requested by customers.
  • Verify and record callers’ demographic data and escalate customer issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines.
  • Handle inquiries and requests courteously and professionally, including calls received in crisis situations.
  • Control the pace and flow of inquiries and requests and manage call time effectively.
  • Follow protocol and apply sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Promote Peckham’s vision, values, and services to customers and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to organization-wide quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

According to a recent contract announcement, the selected carriers will share a $24 million deal to move critical cargo within the continental United States. A winning team of carriers. Selected from a pool of 13 competitive bids, the following companies were awarded the contract: * Delta Air Lines Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia) * Lynden Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Northern Air Cargo LLC (Anchorage, Alaska) * Sun Country Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota) * United Parcel Service Co. (Louisville, Kentucky) Contract details and future outlook. This agreement is scheduled to run through June 30, 2027. However, the Defense Logistics Agency noted that the contract includes options that could extend the partnership for an additional four years. Broader Logistics activity.
