About the company

Sensara provides lifestyle monitoring solutions for the elderly to help them stay independently at home longer, using motion sensors to track daily routines. Its analytics detect deviations, such as increased nighttime activity or changes in bathroom visits, and trigger alerts to caregivers or healthcare professionals for timely intervention. The product is sold via a subscription to healthcare organizations (home care providers, nursing homes) and integrated with housing corporations and municipalities to fit senior living facilities. By enabling data-driven, preventive care, Sensara aims to reduce hospitalizations and care costs while helping seniors live safely and independently.

What believers are saying

  • April 2026 Tinybots integration automates follow-up, reducing unpaid caregiver workload.
  • April 2026 Let Things Talk partnership adds privacy-friendly radar sensing for homes.
  • Sensara’s 2026 Enovation integration strengthens alarm-center distribution and implementation speed.

What critics are saying

  • Tinybots and Let Things Talk commoditize monitoring, squeezing Sensara’s pricing by 2026.
  • If Dutch care budgets tighten, subscription renewals slip and hospital-grade competitors win deployments.
  • A failed product transition to radar-first monitoring would undercut Sensara’s core sensor advantage.

What makes Sensara unique

  • Sensara’s TNO spinout heritage anchors credible sensor-driven senior monitoring.
  • The platform spans home to nursing home, tightening workflow continuity for care providers.
  • The new Sensara Connector broadens interoperability across nearly all healthcare technologies.
