About the job
- Completion of at least 10th grade education, plus up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems involving concrete variables with limited standardization and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- Ability to use a computer to log time and job hours.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
- Clean and prepare equipment for shipment by spraying cleaner, wiping, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and gathering loose material or garbage to meet foreign object debris requirements.
- Assemble, install, disassemble, clean, prepare, repair, and refurbish items related to the job.
- Collect garbage and debris inside the facility and on facility grounds.
- Help organize the shop floor.
- Use and operate hand and shop tools; maintain them in good operating condition and store them properly at the end of each shift.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and arrive on time.
- Follow company core values and safety standards and programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
