- Lead investigations of customer complaints, agree on remedial actions, and correspond with clients as appropriate.
- Supervise the warranty-claim process for the assigned area and team.
- Ensure disciplined use of the enterprise resource planning system and Wireless Field Automation by the team.
- Ensure engineers' timesheets and records are collected and processed promptly for remedial work and invoicing.
- Provide 24-hour, 365-day mobile-phone and pager support to engineers and dispatching centers.
- Monitor costs for time-and-materials and project work.
- Transfer leads to the sales team and promote commercial operations within the field team to maximize sales leads from Customer Engineers and subcontractors.
- Plan area manpower and distribute workload assignments equitably across the territory.
- Provide weekly revenue projections and escalate capacity issues or material shortages promptly.
- Ensure relevant key performance indicator targets are met, including overtime, preventive-maintenance completion, first-time fix, Customer Engineer productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure engineers have the correct tools, maintain the calibration log, and ensure electrical equipment and testing requirements are fulfilled and current.
- Ensure delivery activities comply with company quality, health and safety, environmental policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage and perform role-related activities under the International Trade Compliance Regulation in accordance with the company’s International Trade Compliance certification program.

Capitalising on the AI infrastructure boom, US business Vertiv has announced plans to create up to 300 new jobs in Letterkenny as part of a major expansion of its manufacturing and testing operations in Ireland and the North West. The investment comes as global demand accelerates for the infrastructure required to support artificial intelligence, hyperscale and colocation data centres. "This planned investment reflects the strategic importance of our operations across Ireland and the North West" The company plans to submit an application to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its Letterkenny facility. The project would strengthen Vertiv's existing presence across Ireland and the North West, where it operates facilities in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie in Derry, as well as a Central Procurement Office in Limerick and a sales and service office in Dublin.
