Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of hospital collections experience is required, with strong knowledge of payor guidelines, timely filing requirements, and denial management.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; relevant experience in lieu of this education will be considered.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with payers is required.
  • Experience working with accounts receivable aging reports, productivity dashboards, and hospital billing systems is required.
  • The ability to lead peers, enforce performance standards, and audit work for quality and effectiveness is required.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily collections operations to ensure timely and accurate follow-up on accounts receivable across all payors.
  • Provide primary support for collectors by enforcing productivity standards, documentation quality, prioritization, escalation, and timely filing compliance.
  • Actively guide and monitor collector activity while maintaining a limited account inventory.
  • Support payment plans, insurance portal access, credentialing tracking, and contract maintenance for efficient revenue cycle operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience in Patient Accounts is preferred.
  • Experience with credentialing and re-enrollment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payor portals, credentialing processes, and contract management is preferred.
