Responsibilities
  • Greet the public and assist walk-in visitors to the property.
  • Receive incoming calls, answer client, visitor, and staff questions, and direct calls as needed.
  • Order, distribute, and maintain office supply inventory.
  • Open and distribute mail.
  • Maintain maintenance contracts and schedule repairs for office machines, including copiers, printers, fax machines, and postage machines.
  • Process applications, certifications, and recertifications; complete lease packets; calculate rent; and prepare documents according to regulatory agency specifications and Fair Housing laws.
  • Collect rent from property residents.
  • Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists.
  • Assist with projects assigned by the Community Administrator.
  • Prepare and maintain resident files.
  • Enter and record accounts payable invoices.
  • Make flight and hotel reservations.
  • Create spreadsheets and reports as requested.
  • Copy, fax, and distribute documents for the Community Administrator.
  • Attend staff meetings and assigned training and complete required certifications as needed to perform the duties.
  • Continually learn and enhance technical and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of apartment management experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and state landlord-tenant rights and obligations.
  • Certified Occupancy Professional designation.
  • CMH designation.
  • Tax credit certification.
