What Pigment actually sells.

What Pigment actually sells. Pigment builds software for business planning, financial forecasting and scenario modeling. The category is usually called enterprise performance management. AI, tech, and the markets they move - in one daily briefing. Daily. Free. Join 34,000+ readers across crypto, finance, and policy. Pigment's tools span finance, HR, sales and supply chain. The company says more than 90% of its customers use the product across multiple departments. Users can interact with the platform in natural language and automate tasks. Pigment also connects with tools many teams already use, including Notion, Google Drive and Slack. Around September 2026, the company launched Pigment Frames. The feature generates custom interfaces with AI, letting customers shape planning views without building them by hand. L'Oréal uses Pigment for salary planning across its large global workforce, and Unilever, Uber and Siemens are also clients. A steady climb from 2019. Crespo and Romain Niccoli founded Pigment in Paris in 2019. Its previous round was a $145 million Series D in April 2024. That deal pushed Pigment into unicorn territory, meaning a private valuation of at least $1 billion. Before this latest round, the startup had raised nearly $400 million in total. The rivals list is long and well funded. Beyond Microsoft's Office staples, Pigment competes with legacy planning tools from Oracle, SAP, Anaplan and Workday. Anaplan recognized in POI 2026 Consumer Goods Enterprise Planning and Retail Execution Vendor Panorama.

Anaplan recognized in POI 2026 Consumer Goods Enterprise Planning and Retail Execution Vendor Panorama. Anaplan receives Best-in-Class distinctions for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Enterprise Planning IBP / S&OP MIAMI, Sept. 29, 2026 - Anaplan, a leading AI-driven scenario planning and analysis platform that serves as the decision infrastructure for the Agentic Enterprise, today announced it has been recognized in the Promotion Optimization Institute's (POI) 2026 Consumer Goods Enterprise Planning and Retail Execution Vendor Panorama. POI recognized Anaplan with Best-in-Class distinctions for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Enterprise Planning IBP / S&OP. The report highlights Anaplan's ability to connect trade promotion, revenue growth, supply chain and financial planning on a single, unified platform. In a complex, fast-moving market, where predictable growth is more challenging than ever, consumer goods companies cannot afford to plan promotions in isolation. An unanticipated change in demand or unplanned shift in the market can impact inventory, production and supply chain capacity, as well as financial forecasts, quickly draining margin. Yet, these decisions are often made in a vacuum, across siloed teams and systems lacking a common data set and assumptions. Anaplan helps consumer goods companies account for those dependencies, connecting commercial decisions with the operational capacity and real-time decision infrastructure needed to execute them dynamically. With a shared view across the business, teams can simulate and evaluate multiple scenarios to understand impact, and leverage AI-driven insights to quickly and effectively adapt and optimize plans as conditions change. The report identified that: "Anaplan's defining differentiator is one platform and one data model: trade promotion management (TPM), revenue growth management (RGM), integrated business planning (IBP), demand, supply, finance, and consolidation are connected models on a single in-memory engine rather than separate applications." The recognition builds on Anaplan's work with leading consumer goods companies, including Coca-Cola, Del Monte, ABInBev, On and Unilever, which use Anaplan to connect critical processes, solve high-value planning challenges, and make faster, more informed decisions across their businesses. POI provides research and advisory services to the consumer goods industry, with its annual Vendor Panorama assessing technology providers across retail execution and enterprise planning.

Anaplan appoints Jared Coyle as executive vice president, AI.

Anaplan appoints Jared Coyle as executive vice president, AI. Enterprise AI leader joins Anaplan to head AI Center of Excellence and drive the shift to the Agentic Enterprise MIAMI, Sept. 23, 2026 - Anaplan, a leading AI-driven scenario planning and analysis platform that serves as the decision infrastructure for the Agentic Enterprise, today announced the appointment of Jared Coyle as executive vice president, AI. Coyle joins Anaplan's Executive Committee and will lead the company's AI Center of Excellence, reporting to Chief Product and Technology Officer Adam Thier. This new appointment reflects Anaplan's continued commitment to delivering a single, unified platform where predictive, generative and agentic AI work together on a deterministic foundation, giving enterprises one connected system for confident decision-making at scale. "We're driving the development of the Agentic Enterprise: role-based AI agents that reengineer how core business functions operate, on a shared, auditable foundation," said Thier. "Jared has spent his career turning technology innovation - AI in particular - into outsized customer value. Enterprises continue to mandate that AI deliver faster cycle times and real productivity gains, and I'm confident Jared's proven expertise will provide the leadership this next phase of AI demands." Anaplan's AI Center of Excellence is turning a bold vision into breakthrough innovation, developing and scaling impactful AI capabilities across the portfolio, with an explicit objective to tie every product and capability to measurable customer value. Coyle will bring his vast technical and go-to-market expertise to help run the center end-to-end, from ideation and roadmap to enterprise delivery and adoption. "What excites me most about joining Anaplan is the real focus on making AI practical for our customers," said Coyle. "For most companies, enterprise AI hasn't lived up to the hype - it has failed to deliver real value, or the productivity gains they expected. At Anaplan, it's different. There's a relentless focus on AI that delivers not only a compelling ROI, but the confidence to make cross-enterprise decisions with certainty." Coyle spent more than 12 years at SAP, most recently as chief AI officer for the Americas, where he built the region's AI go-to-market practice into the company's fastest-growing line of business. Earlier in his career, he worked in product engineering and has advised Fortune 500 executives and U.S. policymakers on AI strategy and governance. He holds multiple patents and a PhD in quantum electrophysics and photonics from Drexel University, where he researched quantum organic optoelectronics.
