Requirements
  • A technical degree or equivalent and 8 years or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment, data center, or field service role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75%.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Experience with switchgear and electrical control systems, required for Level 3 candidates.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, required for Level 3 candidates.
Responsibilities
  • Attend project meetings as required, including coordination with contractors and clients.
  • Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, including panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switchgear section doors and subpanels, control components, power cabling, and control wiring.
  • Perform basic testing of modified assemblies, including visual and ductor testing.
  • Perform basic commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning issues identified by IEM or reported by customers in the field.
  • Identify additional field resources needed for installation and replacement parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Provide technical product support.
