Sep 10, 2026, 06:00 ET QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 10, 2026 /CNW/ - Micrologic is embarking on a new chapter of growth after raising $45 million in a funding round backed by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Investissement Québec. $45 million to fuel Micrologic's pan-Canadian expansion as the nation's leading provider of sovereign cloud solutions The investment includes $25 million from the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and $20 million from the Government of Quebec through the Fonds pour la croissance des entreprises québécoises (FCEQ), managed by Investissement Québec. Micrologic will use the funds to accelerate the rollout of its sovereign cloud services to large public and private organizations across Quebec and Canada, at a time when cybersecurity, data protection and digital sovereignty have become strategic priorities. The investment also comes at a time when organizations are looking to reduce their reliance on foreign technology providers and gain greater control over how their data is stored, handled and protected. "Today marks a pivotal moment in Micrologic's journey. The trust our financial partners have placed in us empowers us to accelerate our growth and advance a clear vision to establish Micrologic as a Canadian leader in sovereign cloud solutions," said Stéphane Garneau, President of Micrologic. "We have shown that we can reduce our reliance on foreign technology providers by leveraging local expertise developed by a local company operating under local laws. This investment will enable us to support a growing number of public and private organizations seeking secure, sovereign cloud solutions that give them better control over their data and help them reduce their exposure to foreign laws and interference. With demand at unprecedented levels, the time is ripe to build a true Canadian industry leader. I am extremely proud to begin this new chapter, and I am deeply grateful to our partners, our teams and our clients, all of whom share our vision." "By supporting Micrologic, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ is investing in an innovative business that actively contributes to strengthening Quebec's digital sovereignty and competitiveness," said Saloua Benkhouya, Vice President, Private Equity and Impact Investing, at the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. The use of special inks and human cells to mimic cancer allows researchers to obtain more reliable and realistic data before moving to clinical trials. For its part, EN Solutions Hydro has developed artificial intelligence (AI)-powered software to help hydroelectric plants better manage their equipment. This notably helps prevent breakdowns and optimize energy production. Three prizes for ElleLogic. Meanwhile, Danneelle Crisp, founder and president of ElleLogic, walks away with three prizes totaling $60,000. One $10,000 prize highlights the expansion of a startup from the Black community that has generated or raised over $250,000; the $25,000 Fonds de solidarité FTQ Impact Grant; and an investment prize of the same amount provided by Mistral Ventures. ElleLogic has built an AI that provides instant analysis to nurses and emergency doctors. This tool helps reduce wait times and workloads while improving patient care. Finally, Montreal-based startup OWI Labs secured the $10,000 Productivity Grant from the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. This company developed a technology that maps and analyzes how work is actually performed by employees within an organization. The most prestigious prize at Startupfest, the Best of the Fest worth $100,000, was awarded to a Moncton startup, AgroGene Solutions.
