HubSpot loses 5M monthly blog visits, declares inbound marketing dead in AI era

HubSpot, the company that pioneered inbound marketing over a decade ago, has declared the methodology obsolete and introduced a new framework called Loop Marketing. The shift comes after HubSpot's blog lost 5 million visits in 30 days, with the company observing AI search usage climbing 37% whilst traditional search declined 11%. Industry projections suggest that by 2027 or 2028, as many as 95% of buyer journeys will start in large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini, often without visiting company websites. Loop Marketing operates as a four-stage system where each buyer interaction generates data that sharpens targeting and messaging. HubSpot rebuilt its AI chat to personalise every visitor interaction, leading to more than 10,000 sales meetings quarterly by Q4 2025.

CallRail launches real-time HubSpot scheduling and Agent Hub integration at UNBOUND 2026

CallRail has launched two new HubSpot integrations at UNBOUND 2026. Voice Assist Scheduling enables CallRail's AI voice agent to book meetings directly on HubSpot calendars during live calls, checking real-time availability and automating follow-up by writing bookings to contact and deal records. The CallRail MCP, available in HubSpot's Agent Hub, gives HubSpot AI agents access to CallRail call data and conversation insights, providing richer customer context for future interactions. More than 4,500 CallRail accounts are already connected to HubSpot. CallRail CEO Marc Ginsberg said the enhancements address the gap where small businesses lose time between capturing leads and scheduling next steps, eliminating manual handoffs and callback delays. Both features are launching in beta for existing CallRail customers connected to HubSpot. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide.

HubSpot CEO sells 2,622 shares to cover tax obligations, retains $25.4M stake

HubSpot CEO Rangan Yamini disposed of 2,622 shares on 1 September 2026 to cover tax obligations related to restricted stock unit settlements, according to an SEC filing. The shares were valued at $251.11 each. The transaction represented less than 3% of Yamini's holdings. Following the sale, he continues to hold approximately 101,000 shares directly, worth $25.41 million at market close. HubSpot's stock had fallen 48% over the previous year amid concerns about AI impact on SaaS companies. However, the company reported 21% revenue growth in the first half of 2026 and returned to profitability during that period. HubSpot provides a cloud-based customer relationship management platform serving businesses globally across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.

HubSpot and Atlassian outshine PubMatic as software stocks gain 39.6%

Two software stocks are on investors' watchlists whilst one faces headwinds, according to recent analysis. PubMatic, valued at $791 million, is flagged as a sell due to customer churn reflected in its 96% net revenue retention rate and increasingly competitive market conditions requiring higher sales and marketing spend. HubSpot, worth $11.28 billion, shows promise with 20% annual revenue growth over two years and an 83.2% gross margin. The company maintains steady long-term contract flows, trading at 2.8x forward price-to-sales at $224.65 per share. Atlassian, valued at $41.26 billion, also features on the watchlist. The company provides collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools for teams. Investors are advised to exercise caution as AI threatens to commoditise many software products.

HubSpot cuts revenue guidance despite beating Q2 expectations as AI transition slows customer conversions

HubSpot's Q2 earnings beat Wall Street estimates, with revenue of $911.7 million and adjusted EPS of $3.26, but the stock fell as the company lowered its full-year revenue guidance to $3.68 billion. CEO Yamini Rangan attributed weaker performance to delayed customer purchases and slower conversions from deliberate changes to pricing and product trials. Analysts questioned whether additional disruptive changes were needed and whether AI token costs were driving budget caution. Rangan emphasised confidence in the long-term strategy, noting that customers now demand clearer value and predictable costs before adopting AI-driven offerings. The company reported upmarket momentum remained strong despite longer deal cycles, whilst SMBs showed higher scrutiny. HubSpot's customer base grew to 306,446, with annual recurring revenue reaching $3.58 billion.
