66% of industrial firms invest in AI workers as 41% of workforce time lost to manual tasks

Industrial workers lose 41% of their time to manual, repetitive tasks, creating a capacity gap across organisations, according to research by IFS and The Futurum Group. Companies are addressing this with AI-powered digital workers that autonomously handle operational tasks. The research found 77% of decision-makers have delayed strategic initiatives due to lack of team capacity. Two businesses are investing in digital workers for every one that isn't over the next 12 months. However, trust remains a barrier. Only 5.7% of decision-makers trust AI to act fully autonomously, though 66% plan to invest in digital workers within a year. IFS's Loops Agentic Platform automates 60% of transactions end-to-end, with 40% including human review checkpoints. Customers including Kitron Group and KLN Family Brands are using digital workers on procurement and order-to-pay workflows, reclaiming dozens of hours weekly.

IFS reports strong H1 2026 growth as Industrial AI adoption accelerates. ARR grows 25% year-on-year as manufacturers, service organizations, and asset-intensive industries expand AI deployments across operations IFS, a leading provider of Industrial AI software, has reported strong first-half 2026 financial results, driven by growing adoption of AI-powered solutions across manufacturing, field service, supply chain, warehouse management, and asset-intensive industries. The company recorded 25% year-on-year growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and 24% growth in cloud revenue, while recurring revenue accounted for 84% of total revenue, highlighting the continued shift of customers toward subscription-based and cloud-delivered solutions. According to IFS, the results reflect increasing demand from organizations looking to apply artificial intelligence to complex operational challenges and generate measurable business outcomes. Industrial enterprises are increasingly deploying AI to improve productivity, reduce downtime, optimize decision-making, and strengthen operational efficiency. "Customers are scaling AI across operations onto the factory floor, into the warehouse, and out in the field. As measurable business value is returned, Industrial AI is becoming a clear source of competitive advantage and customers are expanding their use of IFS solutions." Mark Moffat, CEO, IFS During the first half of 2026, IFS expanded its Industrial AI portfolio with several new innovations. These include IFS Nexus Black's Resolve, which uses AI to predict equipment faults and reduce service downtime, IFS Zero, which can reduce emissions data collection efforts by up to 30%, and the IFS Loops Agentic Platform, which enables organizations to deploy AI-powered digital workers, with 60% of agentic transactions now fully automated. The company also strengthened its supply chain management capabilities through the acquisition of Softeon earlier this year, enhancing its warehouse management and supply chain execution offerings as businesses navigate ongoing supply chain disruptions and volatility. "With 25% ARR growth, our numbers reflect how deeply customers are scaling AI into operations. These results reinforce the resilience of our business model and our track record of profitable growth." Ryan Courson, Chief Financial Officer, IFS IFS continued to attract major customers during H1 2026, including Coca-Cola, China Airlines, Drydocks World, First Solar, Miele, JVCKENWOOD, William Grant & Sons, and several other global industrial organizations. The company also expanded its Industrial AI ecosystem through strategic partnerships with technology leaders including Siemens, AVEVA, and NEC, helping customers connect enterprise, operational, and engineering data to drive more intelligent decision-making. Further validating its position in the market, IFS was recognized as a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape Worldwide Manufacturing AI-Enabled Asset-Intensive Enterprise Asset Management Applications Vendor Assessment. With strong recurring revenue growth, expanding AI adoption, and continued platform innovation, IFS enters the second half of 2026 well-positioned to capitalize on growing enterprise demand for Industrial AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

BFC Solutions selects IFS Cloud to unify Field Service and operations.

BFC Solutions selects IFS Cloud to unify Field Service and operations. Jul 23, 2026, 11:43 ET Industrial AI to support scalable growth, consistent customer experience, and efficient operations for U.S. HVAC leader Itasca, Ill., July 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - IFS, the leading provider of Industrial AI software, today announced that BFC Solutions, the leader in essential HVAC services for commercial multi-site facilities in the U.S., has selected IFS Cloud to enable a more connected, scalable approach to service delivery across its operations. Delivering reliable service is essential to BFC Solutions, particularly at the scale on which it operates nationwide, servicing more than 540,000 HVAC units annually and completing over 1,200 service visits each day across a highly distributed network of customer locations. For businesses with multi-site facilities, including restaurants, retailers, grocers, convenience stores, and other critical commercial environments, reliable HVAC service is essential to maintaining day-to-day operations. Supporting customers at that scale requires the visibility, coordination, and operational efficiency needed to deliver consistent service across a nationwide network. To ensure excellence is delivered across every customer interaction, BFC will deploy IFS.ai-powered IFS Cloud, combining field service management (FSM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) capabilities in a single platform. The solution will connect service, scheduling, manufacturing, inventory, customer support and financial operations, strengthening transparency and cross-functional coordination. With embedded AI capabilities, teams will be able to better plan for service demand and respond proactively to improve service levels across its 100,000+ customer locations. "For service-led organizations operating across distributed networks, platform decisions come down to visibility, control, and the ability to scale consistently," said Matt Breslin, President, IFS Americas. "Organizations want solutions that solve the complex challenges unique to their business, not generic technology. With deep expertise in field service management, IFS helps companies connect service and enterprise operations while applying Industrial AI in ways that drive measurable impact for both the business and its customers." "As a service business, the value we create for customers comes through delivering consistent, high-quality service," said Jason Cocco, Chief Executive Officer at BFC Solutions. "To maintain and continuously improve those service levels alongside our growth, we recognized it started by unifying our front and back-office teams onto a single platform. In evaluating options, the driver was to equip each functional area with the right tool to work smarter and more proficiently - which meant providing broad visibility and access to real-time data to facilitate informed decisions and actions. IFS Cloud gives us an enterprise solution that supports our field service operations and streamlines our internal processes, allowing us to operate more efficiently across all areas of the business - resulting in a better experience for our customers." BFC's decision reflects a broader trend in the ERP market. According to Forrester's The ERP Buyers' Journey, 2026, buyers increasingly prioritize industry expertise, domain knowledge, and ecosystem fit over price alone, treating ERP selection as a strategic investment in long-term execution and business performance. IFS continues to see strong demand for unified service management platforms across service-intensive industries as organizations look to support operational alignment and long-term scalability. This momentum is reflected in customer feedback, with IFS recognized as a Customers' Choice in the 2025 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Field Service Management.
