Shure introduces Microflex neXt Fusion Mode to expand audio coverage.

Shure introduces Microflex neXt Fusion Mode to expand audio coverage. The solution brings wireless and ceiling microphones into one system for sound reinforcement and videoconferencing, with built-in IntelliMix DSP removing the need for additional external processors. Shure has expanded its Microflex Ecosystem with the introduction of Microflex neXt Fusion Mode, a new patent-pending feature that combines Microflex Wireless neXt with the Microflex Advance portfolio into a single audio system. The new capability builds on the launch of Microflex Wireless neXt last year and is designed to extend audio coverage for sound reinforcement and videoconferencing across medium and large enterprise and education spaces. By integrating wireless microphones with ceiling array microphones, Fusion Mode enables consistent audio capture in environments including boardrooms, flexible classrooms, training facilities and lecture halls. The solution comes as organisations across the Middle East and Africa increasingly manage diverse collaboration and learning environments. Enterprises and educational institutions are deploying technology across executive meeting rooms, adaptable classrooms, large lecture halls and multi-building campuses, creating demand for audio systems that can deliver consistent performance while remaining straightforward for IT and AV teams to deploy, standardise and manage. A key component of Fusion Mode is Shure's built-in IntelliMix Digital Signal Processing. The integrated DSP eliminates the need for additional external processors when organizations expand their audio coverage, helping simplify system architecture, reduce deployment costs and speed up installation. The system's optimised mixer allows Microflex Wireless neXt transmitters and Microflex Advance array microphones to operate together while maintaining uninterrupted audio capture. This enables organisations to combine different microphone technologies based on the requirements of individual spaces. Fusion Mode is also designed to support environments where presenters move around a room. Automatic presenter prioritisation can emphasise the wireless microphone while keeping the ceiling array microphones active. This helps ensure that presenters, participants and audience interactions remain audible to both people in the room and remote participants without introducing distracting changes or audio artifacts. Yassine Mannai, Associate Director, Sales, Shure MEA, said: "Across the Middle East and Africa, organizations are looking for greater consistency as they expand their meeting, teaching and collaboration environments. Microflex neXt Fusion Mode gives IT and AV teams the flexibility to extend coverage across larger and more dynamic spaces while simplifying the infrastructure required to deploy and manage the system." The new feature builds on more than a decade of development within the Microflex Advance portfolio, which has been used to support audio experiences in meeting rooms, educational environments and professional collaboration spaces. Shure said the Microflex Advance platform is designed to evolve through firmware updates, intelligent audio processing and AI-driven enhancements. This approach allows organisations to introduce new capabilities over time without having to replace existing hardware. Fusion Mode extends that flexibility by allowing IT and AV teams to combine ceiling array and wireless microphone technologies according to the requirements of each room. Organizations can therefore maintain a consistent audio and management experience while adapting individual spaces to different presentation, teaching and meeting formats. The solution is aimed at IT and AV teams overseeing larger classrooms, lecture halls, boardrooms, divisible rooms and multi-room deployments. It is designed to provide expanded audio coverage, integrated sound reinforcement and videoconferencing, consistent performance across different spaces, reduced dependence on external processors and faster system deployment. Shure also highlights the system's suitability for enterprise and education environments that require scalable installations and centralized remote management. By bringing Microflex Wireless neXt and Microflex Advance together, organizations can expand coverage while maintaining a more consistent approach to audio management across rooms, buildings and campuses. With Microflex neXt Fusion Mode, Shure is continuing to develop its collaboration and conferencing portfolio around flexible, scalable audio systems designed to support increasingly diverse meeting, teaching and presentation environments.

Shure secures sustainability in AV (save) certification.

Shure secures sustainability in AV (save) certification. August 14, 2026 Shure has strengthened its commitment to sustainability by becoming SAVe Certified at the corporate level. The certification process involved 21 Shure associates from across the company who participated in sustainability education, workshops, and planning sessions designed to help organizations align with the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the AV and IT industry, Shure's certification highlights a growing focus on environmental responsibility and long-term sustainable practices. Through its involvement with SAVe, including participation in the Sustainable Manufacturers Council, Shure is helping drive industry-wide efforts to reduce e-waste, promote responsible manufacturing, and advance sustainability initiatives across the AV ecosystem. Sustainability in AV (SAVe) is the first industrywide U.S.-based organization to bring stakeholders in the audio-visual field together to take concerted action to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Shure supports SAVe's mission and is deepening its own longstanding commitment to sustainability by becoming SAVe Certified at the corporate level. Twenty-one Shure Associates, representing a broad cross-section of company operations, participated in the SAVe Certification process, which involves an educational program, workshop, and planning session. The certification program is designed to help organizations develop action plans to advance the 2030 SDGs. "Shure's reputation for leadership extends from technology to sustainability, and now that the company has become SAVe Certified, we expect many other industry members to follow its example," said Christina De Bono, founder and president of SAVe, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization. SAVe provides a vehicle for the AV industry to achieve sustainable development and serves as a bridge to other industries, NGOs and partner organizations who share the conviction that AVNation Media, Inc. must take urgent action to preserve the health of its planet, communities, and people. "By becoming a SAVe Certified company, Shure has deepened its commitment to sustainability, and we look forward to working with SAVe and other organizations who will help us continue to evolve in this essential focus area," said Athea Ricketts, Chief Transformation Officer and VP of Enterprise Initiatives. Ricketts is a charter member of the SAVe Sustainable Manufacturers Council and will speak in that capacity at the SAVe 2026 Global Conference in Los Angeles held October 13-14. SAVe is comprised of global leaders from the AV industry who are committed to advancing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and to providing information, inspiration and leadership for its industry to take meaningful action. SAVe initiatives include: * SAVe Certification, a process by which organizations can develop an action plan to advance the SDGs * SAVe: A Second Life, a program designed to reduce e-waste by giving AV equipment a second life at the end of its first one * SAVe Sustainable Manufacturers Council, which seeks to provide AV manufacturers the information, tools and leadership necessary to accelerate the sector's transition to a more sustainable future
