Come meet Acronis at Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit Toronto 2026.

Come meet Acronis at Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit Toronto 2026. October 21, 2026 Guest: Stephen Nichols, Canadian Country Manager for Acronis. a global software company specializing in integrated cybersecurity, data protection (backup), and endpoint management. Stephen will talk about bridging the security gap for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Robust cybersecurity requires breaking down tool silos by unifying endpoint detection, backup, automation, and device management into a single console, eliminating the operational complexity of moving across multiple point solutions. To keep enterprise-grade protection affordable for SMBs operating below the "cybersecurity poverty line," Acronis utilizes tiered platform pricing and enables MSPs to reduce their tool stack from seven or eight point tools down to four or five. This consolidation increases technician workload capacity by 20% to 30%, reduces operational management overhead, and allows MSPs to flexibly toggle modular security policies on demand without requiring a total rip-and-replace of existing customer environments. Don't miss out on its once-a-year Cybersecurity Defense Ecosystem Summit in Toronto! See details at https://www.channelnext.ca/event/cybersecurity-defense-ecosystem-summit-2026-canada/

To simplify partner, customer and user experience, Acronis offerings for both service providers and end-customers are renamed to Acronis Cyber Platform. Last updated October 21, 2026 Until October 14, 2026, services providers have known Cyber Platform as Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, whereas corporate customers have known Cyber Platform as Acronis Cyber Protect. To simplify partner, customer and user experience, Acronis offerings for both service providers and end-customers are renamed to Acronis Cyber Platform. At the same time, Acronis releases early access for Cyber Console, the new AI-native user interface to Acronis Cyber Platform, featuring new intelligence, compliance, automation and operations capabilities. The Cyber Platform name and innovations underscore the mission of Acronis to protect, manage and automate all small and medium IT deployments. A simplified experience with accelerated innovation. For a decade, Acronis has delivered natively integrated cyber protection for IT professionals and service providers from a single platform. Now, with Cyber Platform, Service Providers continue to enjoy multitenant management and monthly pay per use of data protection, cybersecurity, operations management and hybrid infrastructure. Corporate customers are also provided with access to the same trusted products, bundled in annual subscriptions, with cloud and local deployment options. With the new AI-native Cyber Console gradually rolling out to service providers and corporate end-customers, both will benefit from a simplified experience with accelerated innovation. Cyber Console is the new graphical user interface (GUI) for Acronis Cyber Platform, built to optimize operational efficiency for IT professionals and service providers. Its native AI turns client onboarding, routine operations, response to issues and incidents, and business optimization into an intuitive, instantaneous and interactive experience. Cyber Console accelerates innovation towards context-aware, autonomous IT operations with human command and control, through multiple new capabilities: * Client Management: Intuitive onboarding and operations (Early Access) * Service Desk: Enrich and triage alerts to actionable tickets (Early Access) * Cyber Compliance: Check adherence against CIS Controls (Early Access) * Cyber Intelligence: Gain business insight with dynamic reports (Early Access) * Cyber Studio: Build agentic and deterministic workflows (Coming soon) * Access to new Cyber Platform components may be released at different times for different regions. The collaboration will give Hammer's growing channel partner network access to a comprehensive, scalable portfolio spanning cybersecurity, infrastructure, next-generation AI services, and MSP operations, bringing together two organisations with deep roots in the UK channel. By combining Hammer's channel expertise with the breadth of the Acronis' cyber protection platform, the two companies aim to give partners a single, integrated approach to addressing those demands head-on. Dominic Ryles, Director of Cyber and Cloud at Hammer Distribution, said: "This partnership is a genuine step forward for our partner network. Bringing together Hammer's channel expertise and Acronis's innovation in GenAI and XDR gives our partners a real competitive advantage, not just new products to sell, but an automated framework to secure and future-proof their clients' businesses. We're excited to see what our partners build with this." Jo Holliday, General Manager at Acronis added: "UK MSPs are under pressure to deliver stronger protection, faster response and more efficient service delivery, without adding more tools and complexity to their operations. Hammer's channel expertise makes them a strong route to market for Acronis in the UK. Together, we can help partners bring natively integrated cyber protection, infrastructure management and service automation to more customers, enabling them to protect, manage and automate client environments more effectively while building scalable, profitable managed services." Nexcess adds Acronis threat detection and response to managed cloud servers

Nexcess, a managed cloud provider, has launched Acronis Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) as an add-on for its managed cloud servers. The software watches how programs behave on a server, flags activity that looks like an attack, and keeps a record of what happened. It is available from October 19, 2026, to any eligible customer. Nexcess handles setup, so customers install nothing. Those already running Acronis Backup or Disaster Recovery can use the Acronis agent on their servers. Alerts appear in the Nexcess portal, showing the affected server, severity, what was caught, and whether it was contained. The service is billed on one invoice. "We want to give our customers one partner for the server and the protection on it," said Michael Ohayon, general manager of managed cloud at Nexcess.
