- The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and verbal, is required.
- The candidate must have at least two years of dedicated tax preparation experience, with strong proficiency in Form 1040 returns.
- The candidate must be local to Philadelphia and able to work daily from the physical office.
- The candidate must be proficient with standard professional tax software and Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual tax returns, including Form 1040 and Schedule C, D, and E filings.
- Conduct tax consultations and client interviews in English and Spanish to gather financial data and understand clients' tax situations.
- Provide proactive tax planning, strategies, and year-round advisory services to individuals and small business owners.
- Research complex tax issues, interpret tax laws, and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients and explain complex financial terms in accessible language.
- A Certified Public Accountant designation is highly preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure are also considered.
