About the job

Requirements
  • 4–7 years of experience in enterprise sales, go-to-market, business consulting, or client-facing analyst/business development roles, ideally with exposure to Indian mid-market or enterprise clients.
  • Strong discovery and analytical skills to quickly and accurately unpack a client's business problem and current workflow.
  • Comfort making cold calls and running early client meetings; this is not a purely inbound or coordination role.
  • Ability to produce crisp meeting notes, account maps, and follow-up briefs.
  • Basic commercial acumen and the ability to understand and reason about pricing structures; independent pricing negotiations are not yet expected.
  • Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and emerging technology; coding is not required, but the candidate should understand the concepts.
  • High ownership and follow-through, with the ability to pursue a deal over weeks or months without losing momentum.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity without established playbooks in a 0–1/1–10 business environment.
  • Ambition to grow toward a full closing or sales-leadership role, or into Business/GTM Operations.
  • Evidence of exceptional talent through academic achievement at a top institute or a strong professional track record at a recognizable brand or in high-stakes client work.
Responsibilities
  • Own the middle mile of the sales cycle from a client's initial agreement to a well-packaged, close-ready opportunity.
  • Run structured discovery conversations to understand client pain points, current workflows, and AI readiness.
  • Map client organizational structures, identify the economic buyer, decision-makers, influencers, and blockers, and maintain stakeholder engagement between senior-level touchpoints.
  • Identify and nurture an internal champion for MAS within the account.
  • Support structured MEDDPICC-style account qualification alongside the closer and diagnose what is blocking each deal.
  • Make cold calls and run client meetings when needed, working alongside the central lead-generation team.
  • Own the follow-up cadence after every client conversation, including pursuing next steps, addressing objections, and maintaining deal momentum.
  • Develop a working understanding of guaranteed-savings and outcome-based pricing models, including per-minute, slab-based, pilot, and risk-sharing models, and contribute early pricing inputs.
  • Brief and prepare senior closers for high-stakes conversations with account context, stakeholder maps, and next steps.
  • Feed client and market insights into the sales playbook and to Product, Tech, and Operations.
  • Apply structured, consultative thinking to each account rather than a transactional approach.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to or curiosity about structured account-qualification frameworks such as MEDDPICC; the specifics will be taught.
  • Prior experience building or presenting product demos.
  • Ability to build and iterate on client-specific product demos in partnership with Product and Tech.

About the company

Meesho enables individuals to start online businesses by reselling products on its app. Resellers browse items from suppliers, share product listings on social media (like Facebook and WhatsApp), and earn a commission on each sale. The platform sources products and handles listings, while resellers promote them to their network with zero upfront investment and no need for their own inventory. Meesho earns revenue by taking a cut from transactions facilitated through the platform. Compared with traditional e-commerce, its strength lies in social commerce—lower barriers to entry, reliance on personal networks, and a pay-from-sales model, which differentiates it from sites that require inventory or upfront costs. The company’s goal is to democratize e-commerce by enabling anyone to start a business using social channels and Meesho’s app, driving widespread online entrepreneurship in India.

How D2C and meesho/amazon sellers are fueling StudioBackdrops' next growth wave.

How D2C and meesho/amazon sellers are fueling StudioBackdrops' next growth wave. Sep 9, 2026 - 14:47 New Delhi [India]: Every new seller that Meesho, Amazon, or Flipkart signs up in a small town eventually needs to shoot a product photo or a reel. That's the demand StudioBackdrops.com has been building around since 2016 and the marketplace numbers show why the timing works. The seller base is expanding fast. * Meesho's transacting seller base stood at 1.04 million, up 81% year-on-year, with Tier 2-and-smaller towns making up 45% of it * Flipkart says AI tools integration helped drive 80-85% growth in new seller onboarding from Tier 3, 4 towns this year compared to last * Meesho's content-commerce push saw a three-fold increase in order volumes during 2024 testing and reached 14.5 million users in a year - enough traction for the company to launch Creator Club this week, a dedicated platform pairing creators directly with sellers StudioBackdrops has done this before. The company's own sales mix has swung with the broader D2C wave, by its founder's account: * Pandemic era: the business was 90% online, 10% offline, and saw 600-800% revenue growth as creators built home studios * Post-2023: as revenge-buying faded and e-commerce traction slowed, the company shifted to a B2B model * Today: 70% B2B and 30% online, running through more than 200 dealers across Tier I, II and III cities, including remote cities. Founded with a bootstrapped ₹1.5 crore by Archisman Misra, StudioBackdrops now stocks over 6,500 SKUs, including its in-house brands Indus - which has captured 70-75% of the Indian seamless backdrop market - and AriesX, its lighting and studio solutions line that is competing with international giants. The company has reported 40% year-on-year growth. On why the company is now investing in mentorship rather than just equipment, Archisman Misra said, "India's creator economy is moving beyond the pursuit of better gear. The real gap today is know-how, understanding the right setups, making smarter equipment investments, avoiding common mistakes and learning the workflows that often take years to develop. That thinking is behind SBD Creators, the company's new nationwide mentorship program, which aims to onboard at least 100 creators by the end of 2026 across all 28 states, with content in regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati and more. The company says it can already reach 20,000+ PIN codes nationwide, including a custom shipping route it built to get equipment to a photographer in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, logistics that lines up with where Meesho and Flipkart say their own new sellers are increasingly coming from.
