About the job
- Ability to operate and set up metal inert gas (MIG/GMAW) and tungsten inert gas (TIG/GTAW) welding equipment for steel and aluminum components.
- Ability to perform accurate weld inspections, identify nonconforming parts, apply weld acceptance criteria, and rework parts when applicable.
- Ability to check and adjust machine settings according to specifications.
- Ability to fabricate items from drawings and work instructions.
- Ability to follow the First Off Procedure, including placing the jig, checking dimensions, and checking the first product.
- Ability to work safely in an environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
- Ability to comply with 6S procedures and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Ability to achieve trainee-level bill-of-materials standard cycle times while maintaining quality across welding processes.
- Operate and set up MIG/GMAW and TIG/GTAW welding equipment to join and fabricate steel and aluminum components.
- Inspect welds, identify nonconforming parts, verify compliance with company and customer acceptance criteria, and rework parts when applicable.
- Support environmental policies by implementing processes, suggesting improvements, reducing waste, and acting on environmental performance findings.
- Check and adjust machine settings so parts are fabricated correctly according to specifications.

- Ensure work is completed safely and meets quality standards.
