About the company

DoorDash runs apps that let people order restaurant meals, groceries, and other goods from local businesses, which independent couriers called Dashers bring to their doors. In 2019 it overtook Grubhub to become the largest food delivery service in the United States, and it later expanded abroad by buying Finland's Wolt and Britain's Deliveroo. Merchants pay DoorDash a fee on each order and can buy ads in its apps, while customers pay delivery and service fees or join DashPass, a subscription that cuts those fees. Businesses can also hire Dashers through its Drive service to carry orders placed on their own websites. Four Stanford students founded DoorDash in 2013, and it is based in San Francisco, California.

What believers are saying

  • Growth isn't just bought: excluding acquired British app Deliveroo, orders rose 17% and revenue 24% in the June 2026 quarter.
  • It funds its own expansion: free cash flow more than doubled to $742 million in the June 2026 quarter.
  • Room to grow in robotics: DoorDash's robot and drone teams had over 70 job openings in October 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Uber is bulking up abroad: it agreed in July 2026 to buy German delivery group Delivery Hero for $14.8 billion.
  • Weak markets get cut: DoorDash quit Japan, Singapore, Qatar and Uzbekistan in February 2026, booking $50 million in restructuring costs.
  • Courier pay draws regulators: DoorDash agreed in September 2026 to a record $131.5 million NYC settlement over underpaid couriers.

What makes DoorDash unique

  • Office staff make deliveries too: under its WeDash program, everyone from engineers to executives takes courier shifts.
  • It runs its own stores: 124 of its October 2026 job openings are at DashMart, its delivery-only grocery shops.
  • It sells hospitality software too: SevenRooms, bought for $1.15 billion in 2025, runs reservations for restaurants, hotels and casinos.

Table Space Hyderabad portfolio hits 1.56 million sq. Ft. As DoorDash and global firms drive GCC boom.

Table Space Hyderabad portfolio hits 1.56 million sq. Ft. As DoorDash and global firms drive GCC boom. October 7, 2026 Table Space, India's largest flexible workspace operator by leased area among CBRE-benchmarked peers, has scaled its operational footprint in Hyderabad to 1.56 million square feet of leasable area. The milestone comes eight years after the managed-office provider entered the city as its maiden market in 2017, underscoring how multinational demand - particularly from Global Capability Centres (GCCs) - is transforming prime Indian commercial office absorption. Coinciding with the footprint expansion, global local-commerce heavyweight DoorDash selected Table Space to execute and operate its inaugural Indian talent hub. Structured across two distinct phases - an interim operational facility followed by a long-term enterprise workspace in HITEC City - the deal highlights the deepening integration of the "Workspace-as-a-Service" (WaaS) model among foreign multinationals entering India. Tablespace: key operational & market data. GCCs drive high-conviction leasing. The institutional backing for managed workspaces in Hyderabad reflects broader macroeconomic shifts in corporate India. According to a CBRE Industry Report prepared for Table Space, Hyderabad absorbed roughly 20% of all GCC office leasing across India's top nine commercial hubs between CY2022 and Q1 CY2026, ranking second nationally behind Bengaluru. With more than 515 active GCC establishments as of FY2026, Hyderabad has evolved beyond basic back-office software support into complex engineering, machine learning, and core operations. Together with Bengaluru, the two southern cities house nearly half (48%) of all IT talent within the country's GCC network. For managed workspace providers, this shift alters tenant requirements. Rather than taking speculative raw space and navigating protracted fit-out capex cycles, incoming global enterprises are contracting turnkey managed operators to handle end-to-end site selection, architectural layout, tech integration, statutory compliance, and day-to-day facilities operations. "What is changing in Hyderabad is not simply the number of global enterprises entering the city, but the depth of the mandates being built here," noted Nitish Bhasin, Chief Sales Officer at Table Space. "Companies are adding teams, functions and capabilities, and that is changing what they need from their workplaces - from speed at entry to customisation, technology, compliance and the ability to scale." DoorDash's multi-phase entry follows this template. David Ives, Global Director of Real Estate and Workplace at DoorDash, cited the operational agility of transitioning from a ramp-up facility to a permanent campus in HITEC City as a key factor in partnering with a managed operator. Spatial expansion: from core tech corridors to the Extended periphery. Hyderabad's commercial office inventory reached approximately 113 million square feet of Grade A space in Q1 CY2026. As vacancy tightens in legacy commercial pockets, tenant demand is dispersing geographically: * Primary Tech Corridor: Established clusters including HITEC City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Raidurg, Kondapur, and Kavuri Hills remain the anchor destinations for institutional occupiers. * Extended IT Corridor: Rapidly emerging micromarkets - led by Nanakramguda, Kokapet, Neopolis, and Kukatpally - have consolidated as the city's second-most active leasing corridor, supported by modern infrastructure and large-scale campus deliveries. Table Space's expansion mirrors this spatial realignment. While anchoring its base in core HITEC City and Gachibowli, its 1.56 million sq. ft. footprint has spread into Neopolis and Nanakramguda, notably taking positions in institutional assets such as Grava Business Park. Table Space IPO: the upcoming market debut. To fuel this massive scale of geographical and operational expansion, Table Space has formally initiated its transition to the public markets. The company filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator SEBI on 10 August 2026. The proposed IPO features a hybrid structure: a fresh issue of shares worth INR 800 crore, coupled with an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to 6.55 crore shares by existing shareholders. The OFS will be predominantly led by Hillhouse Investment-backed AGS TS II Holdings Pte. Demonstrating the institutional gravity of the issue, Table Space has appointed a syndicate of book-running lead managers, which includes Axis Capital, BofA Securities India, CLSA India, IIFL Capital Services, and JM Financial. KFin Technologies has been appointed as the registrar for the issue. The proceeds from the INR 800 crore fresh issue are earmarked for debt repayment and funding inorganic growth via acquisitions - a war chest that will directly support the kind of large-scale, enterprise-grade capacity building currently underway in cities like Hyderabad. De-Risking enterprise portfolios via waas. From an asset-allocation and commercial real estate perspective, Table Space's operating metrics demonstrate significant portfolio insulation against domestic retail volatility: * High-Credit Counterparties: With 92.49% of its leased space occupied by multinational corporations headquartered outside India, and over 53.5% tied directly to GCCs, cash-flow predictability mirrors institutional Grade A developer rolls rather than volatile co-working models. * Mitigated Execution Risk: Large corporate mandates like DoorDash demonstrate that global firms increasingly treat flexible workspace operators not as short-term desk rentals, but as long-term workplace infrastructure partners. * Institutional Real Estate Synergies: As sovereign wealth funds and institutional real estate investment trusts (REITs) deploy capital into Hyderabad's commercial pipelines, partnerships with enterprise-focused operators provide pre-committed tenant pipelines that accelerate asset stabilization. As Hyderabad continues to rival Bengaluru for top-tier foreign enterprise absorption, managed-office operators with proven balance sheets and enterprise delivery records remain prime beneficiaries of India's ongoing GCC boom. Costco expands on-demand delivery across Canada through DoorDash.

Costco expands on-demand delivery across Canada through DoorDash. October 7, 2026 Costco members across Canada can now order products from their local warehouses through DoorDash, expanding the retailer's delivery options nationwide. "Costco members have expressed an appetite for years to be able to shop from their local warehouse on DoorDash," said Mike Goldblatt, vice-president of enterprise partnerships at DoorDash. "Costco's quality, value, and selection combined with DoorDash's reach and local delivery expertise give members more flexibility in how they shop. We're honoured to see our global partnership continue to grow with Costco, delighting more members worldwide." The partnership allows members to use DoorDash to order groceries, pantry staples, household essentials, beauty products, electronics, seasonal merchandise and other items from the retailer's warehouses. The Canadian launch follows Costco and DoorDash's recently announced partnership in the United States and existing availability in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico. The rollout gives Costco members another way to shop its warehouse assortment without visiting a store, while extending DoorDash's role in delivering products from the membership-based retailer. Customers can access thousands of items through the DoorDash platform and have their orders shopped and delivered by a Dasher. To use the service, Costco members navigate to Costco on DoorDash and enter their Costco membership ID. Consumers who are not members can follow a link to Costco.ca to purchase a membership before returning to DoorDash to connect their new account. Customers can then select from the available merchandise and complete their order through DoorDash. DashPass members can receive $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on orders with a subtotal of $85 or more, subject to the terms outlined by the companies. A Dasher shops for the order and provides updates to the customer during the delivery process. The Canadian expansion is the latest development in a broader relationship between Costco and DoorDash that now spans several international markets. The companies said the Canadian launch responds to demand from Costco members for the ability to shop from their local warehouse through DoorDash. DoorDash launches AI text ordering service to automate food and grocery purchases

DoorDash is launching an AI-powered text-based ordering service that lets customers request food without opening the app. Users can text what they want, and the technology searches restaurants, assembles orders, and handles checkout. The service remembers preferences like skipped ingredients or regular orders and could eventually proactively text customers about their usual purchases. The company is also adding AI tools for grocery shoppers, including automatic cart creation based on regular products and a feature suggesting cheaper alternatives. DoorDash says grocery baskets built using its AI assistant are completed five times faster, have nearly 50% higher basket values, and contain about 60% more unique products than traditional orders. The service is currently in beta in the US, with customers able to join a waitlist.

Invisible Collective's Nate Edwards takes on a film within a film for "Dash of a Lifetime"

Invisible Collective's Nate Edwards takes on a film within a film for "Dash of a Lifetime" Oct. 06, 2026 DoorDash and Hartbeat, the global comedy company founded by Kevin Hart, have released "Dash of a Lifetime," a 13-minute companion film to "Livestream from Hell," the new horror comedy starring Kevin Hart, Kai Cenat and Druski. Directed by Nate Edwards of Invisible Collective, the short takes a character introduced in the feature and builds an entirely new story around what was happening on the other side of the door. "Livestream from Hell" is now streaming on Prime Video and follows Hart, Cenat and Druski through a livestream gone wrong inside a mansion. Comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Kam Patterson enters the story as Darryl the Dasher, whose deliveries of food, balloons, and a first aid kit pull him into the events unfolding inside. Those brief appearances became the framework for "Dash of a Lifetime." Hartbeat approached Invisible Collective with the idea of building a standalone short around Patterson's character, with key moments designed to intersect directly with the events of the larger film. Working with writer Thembi Banks, Invisible helped develop the story around those existing story points, creating a parallel narrative that follows the same night from the Dasher's perspective. Edwards shared: "This was a true collaboration with Hartbeat from the very beginning. We were in the weeds together building this character and figuring out how his story could weave in and out of the larger film. Because that world was evolving as we were shooting, we had to stay really fluid, which made the process incredibly fun. Having 13 minutes gave us the rare opportunity to build a character and storyline people could genuinely get invested in." That "film within a film" structure carried through production. The two productions overlapped for a day of shooting, allowing key moments to be captured from each story's perspective. Invisible then continued on its own shooting schedule to build out the world beyond the mansion and complete the Dasher's side of the night. Invisible Collective EP Sam Kelly shared: "This rare blend of Hollywood entertainment, feature films, brand partnership, and comedy is a breakthrough for all parties involved. We see it as the path forward to help break through in a time where the marketplace is full of content. We're really proud of the work on this project and the final result." "Dash of a Lifetime" was produced by Hartbeat's studio and Invisible Collective in partnership with DoorDash. The film is available now on LOL Network and Kam Patterson's YouTube channels. "Livestream from Hell," directed by David Janoff and produced by Hartbeat, 4Lifers Entertainment and OBB Pictures, is now streaming on Prime Video in the U.S. at no additional cost with a Prime membership.
