  • A doctorate degree recognized by United States accrediting associations, or an appropriate terminal degree established by recognized United States accrediting associations, is required.
  • Candidates must be available at the Yakima campus at least two days per month and dedicated to educating student doctors.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses and any other courses as assigned.
  • Meet all classes as scheduled.
  • Assist in the recruitment and registration of students.
  • Report final grades at the designated time.
  • Advise students.
  • Attend student orientation and commencement exercises.
  • Maintain an appropriate number of office hours.
  • Write course syllabi.
  • Develop course materials.
  • Administer exams.
  • Perform committee assignments.
  • Engage in scholarly activity.
  • Maintain professional development.
  • Perform community service.
  • Maintain licensure and certification as appropriate.
  • Maintain clinical practice as appropriate when required.
  • Understand accreditation standards and expectations specific to the department and adhere to policies and procedures to meet or exceed those standards.
  • Conduct oneself appropriately and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of PNWU.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
