  • Demonstrated ability to take artificial intelligence capabilities from prototype to production, including shipping or deploying artificial-intelligence-powered tools or applications.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks and tooling, such as PyTorch, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or similar.
  • A background in formal methods, mathematical logic, or a strong mathematical foundation through academic training or applied experience.
  • Software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, application programming interface design, and building maintainable, collaborative codebases.
  • Experience working on or contributing to large-language-model tooling, frameworks, or infrastructure, such as inference engines, model serving, or evaluation harnesses.
  • Prior exposure to hardware design or verification concepts, including RTL, SystemVerilog, assertions, or electronic design automation tools.
  • Familiarity with formal methods, satisfiability solvers, satisfiability modulo theories solvers, model checking, or theorem proving.
  • Experience with code generation or analysis tasks using large language models.
Responsibilities
  • Build domain-specific artificial intelligence applications that leverage large language models and other machine learning techniques to accelerate formal verification workflows, from specification interpretation to property generation, proof debugging, and beyond.
  • Develop and fine-tune large-language-model-based systems tailored to hardware verification tasks, including retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, agentic tool-use frameworks, and domain-adapted models.
  • Collaborate with formal verification engineers to understand formal verification methodologies, pain points, and opportunities where artificial intelligence can improve productivity, quality, and coverage.
  • Prototype artificial-intelligence-driven approaches for automatic SystemVerilog Assertions property synthesis, natural-language-to-formal-specification translation, proof strategy recommendation, and intelligent counterexample analysis.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning research into practical, production-quality tools and workflows used by the formal verification team.
  • Establish best practices and infrastructure for artificial intelligence application development within the formal verification organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across disciplines with formal verification engineers, design engineers, and tooling teams.
  • Self-directed approach and comfort with ambiguity, including identifying opportunities, proposing solutions, and driving them forward.
  • A Master of Science or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Binance's Zhao says $1,999 iPhone Duo will go "unhinged" with crypto traders

Apple released its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, last week. Binance cofounder Changpeng Zhao predicts crypto traders will use it heavily, saying many iPhones will be "unhinged" by "crypto trenchers." The Duo's 7.6-inch inner display is the largest on any iPhone. It makes long-term price charts for assets like Bitcoin, Ether, and XRP easier to read than on a narrow screen. Last month, Zhao shared a screenshot of a BNB/USDT trading pair on Binance and said the "Duo is pretty good for charting." Binance said in June that it has more than 300 million registered users. The 256GB Duo costs $1,999 in the US.

Apple enters smart home with LG and Schneider Electric devices and $299 HomeView display

Apple is expanding into the smart home with the Apple Home Collection, a range of cameras, thermostats, sensors, a video doorbell, and a smart lock made with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Products start arriving in December, with more due in early 2027. Apple controls setup, software, AI, privacy, and the Home app, while its partners build the hardware. LG prices start at $199.95 for an interior camera and thermostat, and Schneider Electric sensors start at $39.95. Apple's own $299 HomeView is a seven-inch smart display that uses Siri AI to recognise up to six household members. It goes on sale November 13, against Google's $229 Nest Hub Max. Apple says it keeps camera video and personal data private from itself, LG, and Schneider Electric.
