Guidewire launches platform for agentic insurance, putting governed AI agents across underwriting and claims

Guidewire (NYSE: GWRE) launched a platform approach to agentic insurance on October 27, 2026, at its Connections conference in Las Vegas. The company says the platform gives insurers an open, secure foundation for running AI agents across underwriting, claims, and data work. Guidewire's agents run on the same platform as its core applications and use an insurer's existing data and workflows. Built-in controls set what agents may do and keep an audit trail. New tools include Advanced Product Designer, PricingCenter, and UnderwritingCenter for underwriters, plus Concierge, which lets claimants report losses to agents by voice or chat. An Agentic Framework lets insurers use Guidewire's agents or build their own. Some features are available only to early access customers.

Guidewire shares at $181.90 look pricey against $361.5M free cash flow, DCF suggests

Guidewire Software's shares look expensive against its projected cash flows, according to a discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis by Simply Wall St. The model puts intrinsic value modestly below the current share price of $181.90. The insurance software maker generated about $361.5 million in free cash flow over the last twelve months. Projections show that figure rising into the mid hundreds of millions of dollars a year before growth tapers. The stock has gained 110.9% over three years and trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 107.1. Community views are split. The bull case sees the stock 15% undervalued, citing low annual recurring revenue (ARR) attrition. The bear case sees it 6% overvalued, pointing to thin services margins and rising costs.
