Requirements
  • Knowledge of the proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar work.
  • Must have a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Must comply with any dress code requirements.
  • Must attend work and arrive for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
Responsibilities
  • Clean all rooms, including equipment operations rooms, entranceways, and corridors.
  • Clean entranceways, luncheon areas, and coffee messes more than daily when necessary to maintain an acceptable condition.
  • Inspect walls and spot clean as necessary.
  • Dust and clean low surfaces, including equipment, less than seven feet above the floor.
  • Clean open desk surfaces without disturbing papers, books, or other items located on or inside desks.
  • Dust high surfaces, including high cabinets, light fixtures, ceilings, and ventilation ducts, greater than seven feet above the floor.
  • Empty trash receptacles, remove trash from all areas, and deposit it in an outside dumpster.
  • Replace trash receptacle liners and clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Sweep and mop tile floors at least weekly to keep them free of spots and debris.
  • Strip, seal, and wax floors at least quarterly.
  • Maintain the life and appearance of carpets.
  • Arrange conference rooms with tables and chairs for event attendees as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative.
  • Thoroughly clean conference rooms and return furniture to a neat and orderly arrangement.
  • Wash conference room chalkboards unless marked “Do Not Erase.”
  • Store janitorial supplies and materials safely, sanitarily, and neatly.
  • Maintain garages.
  • Clean and service restrooms and showers.
  • Provide supplies and restock restrooms with hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and sanitary napkins.
  • Empty, clean, and disinfect sanitary napkin disposal containers daily.
  • Clean toilets and urinals inside the trap to the extent possible, under the rims, and on the exterior.
  • Ensure that there are no visible spots, stains, or graffiti.
  • Perform trash removal, cleaning, and other custodial or janitorial activities.
