Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in pre-sales or sales engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas by building and implementing strategic technical account plans targeting cross-platform solutions.
  • Understand customer business requirements and position, demonstrate, and create high-level designs across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio to create customer business value.
  • Drive customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks platform by helping customers improve productivity, operational efficiency, security efficacy, and flexibility to innovate.
  • Conduct discovery to understand and articulate the technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of prospects and customers.
  • Work with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to support customer implementation and solution adoption.
  • Deliver presentations, customer-specific demonstrations, technical engagements, and workshops that simplify complex ideas for varied audiences.
  • Lead technical validation efforts using best practices to achieve technical wins in assigned opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and coordinate specialists, channel resources, and customer support to provide a cohesive customer strategy.
  • Promote end-to-end solutions that include Palo Alto Networks and/or partner professional services.
  • Differentiate Palo Alto Networks against competitors in the cybersecurity market.
  • Participate in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events while developing technical and professional skills.
  • Identify technical stakeholders and cultivate relationships to build and drive a security architecture transformation roadmap.

The drop continues a pattern where strong results trigger selloffs due to stretched valuations. Bank of America took the opposite view, recommending investors buy the dip. The firm noted that much of the recent growth stems from two acquisitions: the $25 billion purchase of CyberArk in February and the roughly $3.4 billion deal for Chronosphere. The company posted a GAAP net loss of $282 million for the quarter, driven by fair-value changes on convertible notes and integration costs.
