About the Job

Requirements

  • Strong technical product lifecycle assurance and security and privacy compliance experience in high-velocity, low-friction development environments.
  • Experience building technical controls, metrics, monitoring tools, continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling, high-fidelity risk signals, and dashboards to meet product assurance goals.
  • Ability to run an end-to-end cross-functional product assurance program and exercise judgment about processes and controls needed to meet a high assurance bar.
  • Ability to shift product assurance earlier in the product development cycle with just-in-time controls, guidance, guardrails, and appropriate developer friction.
  • Ability to influence, align, and direct partner teams to achieve product assurance goals.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in high-stakes product launch risk and control decisions.
  • Curiosity about using artificial intelligence and agents to streamline product assurance workflows while preserving reliable evidence and sound judgment.
  • Comfort working in high-velocity, low-friction development environments and with complex Kubernetes system architectures and dataflows.
  • Ability to work with Privacy Engineering and Data Science to understand data maps and database schemas and use existing processes and controls to advance product assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the product assurance program end-to-end, from product development through continuous post-launch monitoring.
  • Own the GRC product assurance program and govern Safety, Deployment, Security, and Legal reviews to surface product risk and design scalable mitigations.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and accountability across the product assurance program.
  • Build controls and low-friction, scalable processes in the infrastructure stack, developer workflows, and launch tooling to ensure effective product assurance.
  • Ensure teams have the guidance needed to design and launch safely, meeting teams where they are.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and privacy claims and maps correspond to verifiable controls.
  • Connect the product lifecycle assurance program to organizational objectives; decide when to build, influence, or maintain partnerships, and influence partner-team roadmaps to advance assurance goals.
  • Apply judgment in launch reviews, technical assurance trade-offs, and management of organizational risk posture to guide product and engineering teams on priorities.
  • Partner with Product, Security, Legal, and Privacy teams to maintain security, privacy, and compliance claims and provide assurance to customers, auditors, and regulators about user-data handling.
  • Enhance, augment, and build workflows, reviews, data, and other components of an end-to-end product assurance program.
  • Build or partner with engineering teams to build infrastructure controls, developer workflow guardrails, continuous integration and continuous delivery conformance checks, and launch tooling that surfaces launches needing GRC guidance.
  • Use lessons learned from incidents and regressions to improve the product launch governance program.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify system risks and determine where and how controls should be applied.
