About the job

Requirements
  • Significant FP&A experience, including demonstrable ownership of a full budget cycle and the reforecast process at group or business unit level.
  • Strong three-statement modelling capability, with proven experience building and maintaining driver-based models, long-range plans, and scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Grounding in unit economics, contract profitability and revenue recognition in long-term service contracts, cash flow and working capital forecasting, and investment appraisal using IRR, NPV and payback.
  • Track record of producing materials and commentary for board, investor and lender audiences, with the confidence to explain and defend the analysis.
  • Examples of building planning or reporting from inconsistent data sources and improving those inputs over time.
  • Experience partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders, including at executive level, and presenting financial messages clearly, tailored to the audience, and action-oriented.
  • Evidence of improving planning and reporting processes.
  • Line management or coaching experience, or readiness to take on a first direct report.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent qualification by experience.
  • Advanced Excel capability, applied hands-on.
  • Ability to work with information of varying structure and completeness, reach a defensible view, and be explicit about assumptions and limitations.
  • Ability to turn complex data into a concise, decision-useful story through written, verbal and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Own the annual budget process end-to-end, including the timetable, templates, assumptions, budget-holder challenge and consolidation, building plans from operational drivers rather than extrapolation.
  • Own reforecast and rolling forecast cycles for P&L, cash flow, working capital and capex, including project phasing, pipeline assumptions, cash low points, risks and opportunities.
  • Own the operational long-range model, including scenario, sensitivity and downside cases used to test funding requirements, keeping it robust, documented and usable by others.
  • Drive forecast accuracy by tracking variances to their causes and tightening assumptions and underlying data that repeatedly prove unreliable.
  • Produce analysis that explains performance by linking variance, margin, mix and operational drivers to what changed, why it matters and the action required.
  • Own the group KPI framework and the unit economics beneath it, keeping the set tiered, mutually exclusive and decision-useful.
  • Support post-acquisition financial integration of acquired businesses into group planning and reporting when definitions, data structures and reporting conventions differ.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for commercial, operational and corporate decisions, setting out assumptions, confidence level and what would need to be true to change the answer.
  • Own the forward-looking elements of monthly reporting and planning and performance content in board and investor packs, ensuring accurate and consistent output presented to an infrastructure-investor standard.
  • Write clear commentary that gives senior stakeholders a defensible view of performance outlook, the basis of the numbers and data limitations, using accessible financial storytelling for non-finance audiences.
  • Support lending requirements, including covenant forecasting and testing, headroom analysis, liquidity monitoring and drawdown scenarios.
  • Respond to investor and board questions, including unplanned scenario questions, and clearly present forecasts, scenarios and performance messages.
  • Represent FP&A in the planned finance systems migration from Access to a new ERP, defining planning, reporting and data requirements and testing that they are met.
  • Redevelop and maintain the planning environment, including rebuilding in Adaptive, to make forecasting faster, better controlled and less dependent on manual manipulation.
  • Work with finance and operational data owners to improve data integrity, definitions and lineage, identify unreconciled information and propose resolutions.
  • Automate recurring reporting and build dashboards, applying analytics and AI tooling where it improves quality, speed or insight.
  • Reduce key-person risk by documenting models, standardising templates and making the planning process repeatable.
  • Manage, coach and develop a Commercial Finance Analyst, setting analytical standards and supporting their growth.
  • Partner with the executive team and leaders across sales, marketing, delivery, network operations and transformation.
  • Coordinate and challenge inputs from finance business partners, commercial pricing and project control so group plans are consistent and credible.
  • Raise financial literacy across the business, helping budget holders understand the drivers behind their numbers, drive their forecasts and translate finance into operational actions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a private equity- or infrastructure-backed business, including investor reporting, covenant reporting or lender engagement, or in an SME or scaling business where reporting disciplines are still being built.
  • Telecoms experience, or experience in a capital-intensive, contract-based or recurring-revenue environment.
  • Experience with an ERP or planning system implementation, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, or planning tools such as Adaptive, Anaplan or similar.
  • Data fluency beyond Excel, including Power BI, Power Query, SQL or equivalent analytics tooling.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related quantitative discipline.

Wifinity launches managed private 5G service to tackle connectivity challenges on large outdoor estates.

Wifinity launches managed private 5G service to tackle connectivity challenges on large outdoor estates. 29 September 2026 LONDON, 29 September 2026 - Wifinity has launched a new fully managed private 5G service for dedicated connectivity across large, spread-out outdoor environments where it's difficult, expensive and hard to scale traditional WiFi networks. The private 5G service is already live at a large UK holiday park for a leading operator, which is already seeing flexibility gains, supporting a better guest experience and the revenue potential of pop-up events or more areas of the site. For operators of holiday parks, residential communities, defence estates, industrial sites and large campuses, connectivity is difficult to install and maintain across open spaces, remote locations and dispersed areas. Extending fixed infrastructure outside buildings means disruptive groundworks, cabling and multiple wireless access points. Rather than the cost and disruption of extending WiFi across the park, new spectrum availability from Ofcom gives individual sites or venues a dedicated private 5G network with fewer small cell radio units. This is more attractive for venues in environmentally sensitive areas, protected landscapes and established estates. Wifinity's new private 5G managed service includes everything from survey, design and deployment through to monitoring and optimisation. Customers do not need in-house 5G experience and, as NOC and support are outsourced, there is no extra network to manage. For venue operators, the outcome is simple. Better coverage, greater flexibility and less complexity. Wifinity obtains licences for spectrum delivering uncontested bandwidth and small cells can be added as a site extends, to easily extend the network. The offer is more flexible connectivity for dispersed environments where accommodation, facilities, operational buildings and outdoor spaces are spread across hundreds of acres. Wifinity's first deployment is live at a major UK south coast holiday venue with hundreds of caravans, lodges and facilities across 40 hectares. Its private 5G network converts site-wide cellular coverage into WiFi in accommodation and shared spaces, so guests have a familiar user experience via a simplified underlying network. Maintenance teams, operational staff and connected devices stay online as they move about, and can host pop-up events, food and ice cream stalls with seasonal demand. James Julier, Head of Product Engineering at Wifinity, said: "Traditional WiFi works very well inside buildings, but many sites weren't designed with modern connectivity requirements in mind, so extending coverage can mean more cabling, more access points and big infrastructure investment. Private 5G is an alternative approach using a dedicated cellular layer to cover large areas more efficiently." About Wifinity. Wifinity designs, deploys and manages connectivity solutions for organisations operating complex and high-demand environments. The company provides managed digital infrastructure across defence, leisure, residential, social housing and enterprise sectors, helping customers improve user experiences, operational performance and digital resilience. Wifinity named 2026 Megabuyte Telecoms Provider award winner. 23 March 2026 Wifinity Ltd is delighted that Wifinity has been recognised as a winner at the 2026 Telecoms Provider Awards by Megabuyte. Thank you to its team, customers and partners who've supported Wifinity Ltd along the way. Megabuyte's awards are widely regarded for their independent, data-driven approach. Its award reflects the progress Wifinity has made in building and operating reliable connectivity services across sectors from residential developments and student accommodation to defence and commercial environments. Its approach to connectivity brings together resilient infrastructure, active network management, and a strong emphasis on customer experience to ensure connectivity works as it should, wherever it's deployed. The 2026 awards highlight organisations across the UK technology sector that are performing strongly against their peers.
