Responsibilities
  • Develop processes, tests, and documentation required to support production repair functions.
  • Recognize deviations from company practices and standards and take appropriate action.
  • Apply job skills and company policies to solve complex problems.
  • Provide input to company and general practices and standards.
  • Solve complex line and process problems using a high degree of initiative.
  • Work from complex schematics, layouts, and diagrams.
  • Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, radio-frequency signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and communication test sets.
  • Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers and materials associates to source required components.
  • Evaluate new phones, qualify components, and support equipment maintenance.
  • Evaluate new models and create repair documentation covering assembly, disassembly, functional procedures, and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with original equipment manufacturers to resolve component availability issues.
  • Interpret initial service bulletins, customer service bulletins, and field service bulletins and determine their relevance to daily responsibilities.
  • Identify and pursue process-improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and report process deficiencies and potential improvements to the department supervisor.
  • Support level 3 technicians with documentation, tooling, and training.
  • Support automation, conveyor, and sortation equipment.
  • Perform root-cause failure analysis on field failures and repair-process failures.
  • Disassemble, assemble, operate, and repair equipment according to product specifications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Wireless manufacturer repair certification is preferred.
  • Experience in process development and implementation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is preferred.
  • Three-dimensional printing experience is preferred.

Assurant has partnered with Cogeco Communications to launch a digital-first mobile device solution for Canadian customers. Owen taps Assurant to power embedded travel insurance for Swan's business cards across Europe

Owen, an insurtech specialising in embedded insurance, has partnered with Assurant to provide insurance capacity for Swan, Europe's leading embedded banking platform. Assurant Q1 earnings jump 76% on lower catastrophes and strong investment income

Assurant reported first-quarter 2026 net operating income of $5.95 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 10.2% and rising 76% year over year. Total revenues increased 11.4% to $3.4 billion, surpassing estimates by 4.4%.
