Responsibilities
  • Create animation for characters and/or objects based on rigged 3D models and contribute to the visual elements of gameplay and cut scenes.
  • Apply animation principles to create high-quality animations, optimize them to meet technical constraints, and make changes requested by the artistic direction.
  • Understand and manipulate motion capture data for use in game animation systems.
  • Develop animation systems that meet game needs in collaboration with team members from other disciplines, and document and explain the systems to new and less experienced team members.
  • Collaborate with the animation director, art director, game designers, and programmers to understand quality objectives, gameplay intentions, and engine capacities and anticipate the in-game look of animations.
  • Help estimate the time required for assigned tasks and manage time to meet deadlines in collaboration with the immediate supervisor.
  • Report potential animation-related issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Quickly prototype animation systems to support animation- and gameplay-related discussions.

TransPerfect has acquired two France-based Technicolor Group studios: MPC and The Mill. The financial terms were not disclosed.
