Sol de Janeiro expands travel retail portfolio with fragrance and body care launches.

Sol de Janeiro expands travel retail portfolio with fragrance and body care launches. The L'Occitane Group-owned brand has introduced its first solid fragrance format alongside a new travel set and extensions to its Body Badalada lotion range. Sol de Janeiro has expanded its global travel retail offer with a series of body care and fragrance launches, including its first solid fragrance format. The new line-up comprises Jelly Perfume Balms, the Hydrating Jet Set and three additions to the Body Badalada Lotion portfolio, featuring a selection of the brand's Cheirosa fragrances. The alcohol-free Jelly Perfume Balm is made with premium fragrance oils and is designed to provide a concentrated scent experience lasting for up to 10 hours, according to the brand. Presented in a twist-up stick format, the balm has a translucent, non-sticky finish and is designed to be worn alone or layered with Sol de Janeiro body creams and perfume mists. The collection is available in three fragrances: Cheirosa 62, featuring notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla; Cheirosa 68, with Brazilian jasmine, pink dragon fruit and ocean air; and Cheirosa 40, combining black amber plum, jasmine blooms and vanilla woods. The Jelly Perfume Balm travel retail roll-out took place across all distribution channels between March and May 2026, supported by pop-up activations and additional promotional touchpoints in the UK. The collection is now available across all Sol de Janeiro travel retail locations. Sol de Janeiro has also launched the Hydrating Jet Set, which brings together three travel-sized products: Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter and Body Badalada Vitamin-Infused Lotion. Designed for gifting, product discovery and fragrance layering, the set offers travellers a complete body care and fragrance routine in travel-friendly formats. The brand is also extending its Body Badalada portfolio with three lotions offering different textures, finishes and Cheirosa scents. Body Badalada Skin Refresh Water Lotion is a lightweight, refreshing lotion scented with the sparkling and fruity Cheirosa 48 fragrance. Body Badalada Moisture Melting Lotion is designed to support the skin's moisture barrier and features the beach-inspired Cheirosa 39 scent. The limited-edition Body Badalada Daily Glow Lotion uses the original Body Badalada formula with a luminous finish and is scented with Cheirosa 62. The new Body Badalada products are launching across all travel retail locations from June 2026, supported by dedicated activations at Paris Orly and Manchester airports. Marion Amirouche, Senior Brand Manager, Sol de Janeiro, L'Occitane Global Travel Retail, said: "Travel retail is a natural stage for Sol de Janeiro, where discovery, emotion and unforgettable experiences are at the heart of the journey. These exciting new launches perfectly capture the joyful spirit of the brand, inviting travellers to discover new textures, layer their favourite Cheirosa fragrances and take their Sol de Janeiro rituals with them wherever they go. "With innovations such as our first-ever Jelly Perfume Balms and new travel-friendly formats, we continue to bring fresh, sensorial beauty experiences to travellers worldwide while celebrating the confidence and self-expression at the heart of Sol de Janeiro."

Sol de Janeiro taps into jelly trend with first solid fragrance launch

Sol de Janeiro taps into jelly trend with first solid fragrance launch. Sol de Janeiro has expanded its fragrance offering with the launch of its first-ever solid scent, Jelly Perfume Balm. Launched in three of the Brazilian-inspired brand's signature accents - Cheriosa 62, Cheriosa 68 and Cheriosa 40 - the fragrance is said to glide onto skin to deliver a concentrated scent that lasts up to ten hours. The product comes as jelly formulas continue to grow in popularity across beauty, increasingly seen in blush and lip colour formulations, but Sol de Janeiro has set out to bring this fun formula to the world of fragrance. Heather Forcari, Executive Director of Global Education for the brand, told Cosmetics Business: "We loved the sensorial nature of jelly textures and wanted to translate that into fragrance because it makes scent feel more intuitive and modern. "A jelly balm [in a] solid format lets you apply fragrance directly to skin in a way that feels active and personal. "Our Jelly Perfume Balms let you swipe, layer and go, wherever you are, turning fragrance into something tactile and ritual-driven rather than just a spray in the air." The alcohol-free balm is also said to enter a completely new territory from a formulaic level.
