Requirements
  • Physician Assistants must have a Master's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Physician Assistants must hold current Ohio licensure and a Certificate of Authority to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Nurse Practitioners must have a Master's degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Nurse Practitioners must have Drug Enforcement Administration registration or certification.
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold current Ohio licensure and a Certificate of Authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Candidates must hold Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications.
  • Candidates must maintain required training under the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment Act.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with staff to provide quality patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients.
  • Perform medical examinations.
  • Administer or direct health treatment procedures as appropriate, including medication-assisted treatment and other health treatment procedures.
  • Order laboratory tests as necessary.
  • Consult with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, and other behavioral health providers regarding patient treatment to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide timely progress notes and other medical reports for all patients.
  • Assist with developing and implementing in-service training programs concerning health concerns, new technology in healthcare treatment, and substance treatment.
  • Develop policies and procedures for medical services and medical components of research, service evaluation, and quality assurance in collaboration with the Medical Director.
  • Provide prescriptions within the scope of practice in collaboration with the Medical Director.
  • Collaborate with staff from other clinical departments to support a team-based approach to client care, continuity, and unified goal setting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Physician Assistants preferably have Department of Transportation certification and an X-waiver.
  • Nurse Practitioners preferably hold Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Two or more years of experience in a family practice environment is preferred.
  • Behavioral health experience is desirable.
  • Candidates should have communication and customer service skills.
