  • Ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job.
  • Typing skills, preferably 45–55 words per minute, with 95–100% accuracy.
  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Ability to use a 10-key keypad by touch.
  • Some computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work with internal office personnel, sales and development representatives, records center personnel, management, external customers, potential customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of service lines, prices, and delivery times.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to deal with unexpected situations.
  • Ability to tolerate heat in summer and cold in winter.
  • Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, read, identify numbers accurately, reach, handle, carry, and lift between 10 and 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Train, explain tasks, and assist in solving customer problems.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, faxes, and emails and respond to customer requests.
  • Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Handle complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits, then follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Engage customers and provide additional assistance when needed.
  • Key in new box information for all accounts.
  • Perform data entry, including computerized location changes, assigning customers to new departments in the computer, and sending computer input to a printer for printouts.
  • Take paperwork from the ready-to-be-filed tray and place it in each customer's folder.
  • Store the previous month's files in VRC boxes at the end of each month.
  • Work on special projects as required by the Customer Service Manager or Director of Operations, or as needs arise.

Vital Records Control (VRC), a provider of information governance services, has acquired AI platform company AskTuring. The acquisition expands VRC's artificial intelligence capabilities within its technology stack. AskTuring provides AI technology that helps organisations securely access, understand, and use information within their data repositories. VRC plans to integrate AskTuring's technology into its service offerings, including VitalControl®, enabling customers to gain greater insight into information stored physically or digitally.
