Requirements
  • Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic or complex assembly work to manufacture products cost-effectively and on time while meeting quality standards.
  • Validate materials before beginning assembly, review work instructions, and build products according to specifications and tolerances.
  • Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and effectively using work instructions, drawings, schematics, and electronic assembly equipment.
  • Complete cleanup and housekeeping procedures and follow established procedures, processes, policies, quality requirements, and safety rules.
  • Cross-train in multiple assembly areas and flex to similar departments based on business necessity.
  • Train new and current employees on work instructions and standard work, with greater frequency at Assembler II and III levels.
  • Resolve production problems with assistance or independently according to the assembler level and designated authority.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to equipment, designs, and processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity for Assembler II and III.
  • Access information and perform transactions in the enterprise resource planning system as applicable to the assembler level.
  • Participate in team meetings, exchange job-related information, and contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of assembled products and their business impact.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and lead problem solving and countermeasure implementation at the Assembler III level.
  • Demonstrate good attendance, attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through on team commitments.

The deal followed what Generac describes as a rigorous qualification process, including multiple factory visits, performance and quality system reviews and audits across its vendor base. Aaron Jagdfeld, Chairman, President and CEO of Generac, says the agreement reflects the trust hyperscale operators are placing in the company's engineering credentials. "This agreement positions Generac at the heart of supporting essential services and the digital economy," he explains. "The successful navigation of this approval process solidifies our position as a top-tier supplier of large megawatt backup power generators and reflects the kind of relationship we expect will grow as the digital economy continues to scale." For data centre operators, the significance lies in what sits behind that approval process. Banking, healthcare delivery and emergency response all depend on facilities staying online through grid disruptions and periods of high demand, and a supplier able to pass hyperscale-level scrutiny on factory audits and quality systems offers assurance as capacity commitments grow larger. Engineering culture underpins critical infrastructure push. Erik Wilde, EVP and President of Domestic Commercial & Industrial (C&I) at Generac, frames the agreement as validation of the company's broader approach. "Generac has been supporting mission-critical infrastructure for decades," he says. "Securing this agreement reflects our culture - an engineering-first organisation focused on backup power, with the service capabilities required to support critical infrastructure at scale." That culture is also visible in the recognition given to the SD3250, Generac's 3.25MW generator and its largest diesel unit, named Gold winner in the Power Generation & Electrical Infrastructure category of the 2026 Consulting-Specifying Engineer Product of the Year awards.
